If the information is presented to them in an alarmist way, we run that risk.
I don't know what is being comminicated to them, so I feel powerless about the whole thing right now. All I know is that some people are communicating something to some members of TTF. Who knows what their reaction will be?
I don't want them to freak out and lock the doors over nothing.

All kidding aside, I like the idea of doing nothing. It shows we can get over humps like these because we simply believe in our community. The more we try to fix the problem the worse it gets usually. For once (write down the date folks) I am with Ekade on this one.
And besides, if we ever get shut out of the Roba we'll just start a new one...
Hi Ladies and Gentleman and thanks to the individual that gave me a heads up about this site. My name is Zak, (my alt ie wife in game) is Steff Manning, she is current mayor of Dohrian and I have a new alt my brother Alexzander Manning and sorry Iago, one of us has been to almost every Roba night for the last 5 months. (Either as Zak or Steff or Alexzander (new alt)) more so Steff and has enjoyed learning about the RP world from all of you, i still feel I'm terrible at RP, but continue to learn.
The complaint, when I started reading, my first thought was it might have been the night that a member was leaving SWG and all the dancers were on stage in underwear, (and even in our guildchat, they were talking about it), I was on my way from Dath, thinking what in the world is going on and was told when asked it was a members send off.
But anyway, that was my first thing that came to my mind. Over the months, I've observed and also particitpated in the events that transpire and haven't really seen or been offended by the actions that happen. Though I'm a bit older then most and take that in stride. I feel comfortable allowing my twin 5 yo olds watch and listen at my side. They love watching the dancers and listening to the music.
In regards to comments about Dohrian and TTF.
As a means of information: Steff has been Mayor since the voting rules changed and is very active member of TTF and Dohrian. Zak has almost become the alt.
TTF - the new Viceroy is Malchiah, and he and wife Kahuaria are also members of city Militia.

The members of city Militia (or Trade-Sec )have been increased by at least 9 active members that almost all attend the Roba on Fridays and have been called into service to keep the peace.
Many of our members do participate in these events. And Malchiah and I try to ensure that someone is on duty from Trade-sec to monitor peoples actions. I myself have banned over 4 people in last three weeks in making a point that there behavior is inappropriate and that the rules will be followed. Rules that we have dealt with: simple stuff really, no weapons, no pets, no fighting in Roba etc. So we are making an effort to ensure that everyones time in Roba is enjoyed.
Of course, Alonzo departed about the time that Zak joined TTF, so I have never know what things were like before and also realize that for a time things went to the side with the Militia. When I took over as Mayor we only had two active members in Militia with the others rarely on, or no longer around. Why I placed so many more in, to help Malchiah out.
The suggestions people made were good. I think idea of bouncer works, but that the Milita is attempting to do that funtion now by informing people of inappropriate behavior. Making the Roba a locked facility, do not advise that happen, to many in guild and others wander in there on a daily basis to use the services of our AFK entertainers (my alt Alex is dancer and was surpirsed at number of people that came in) and it is not in best interest of Dohrian or Guild.
Since the special event planners have appeared with the last publish, I have tried to place severl things around shuttle and Roba to assist in events of night.
So what's my point, I think I lost it long ago. Sorry for the Rambling! As I read peoples comments though I felt that I needed to fill in some of the gaps of what actually is happening in Dohrian and TTF. And what we are trying to do to enhance the evening for everyone. We highly value friday nights and the fun that we have in coming to the Roba. And I for one appreciate each of the dancers and musicians that faithfully come each week. (When Zak was a Master Musician, he always wanted to be a member :}.) I often switch between my 3 charactors throughout the evening and it doesn't appear that I'm there that long., but I try to give each some time interacting with folks.
Do we need to watch out for younger players, yes we all do, and that comes down to each of us acting appropritately.

Having been in attendance at the Roba on Friday night more then probably 99% of the folks posting here I would have to say I have some knowledge of the setting.
That being said like most of the band I tend to follow groupchat more then spatial but still catch a lot of the doings and goings on. There have only been rare occasions that I thought someone should be banned from the Roba for language or nuisance like behavior. I would suggest that yes we are for the most part adults here we have to consider the younger players as well, roleplay doesn't have to be graphic as there are as many things to roleplay in a setting like this as their are annoying jedi wandering around. Certainly a "cantina" in real life would be an adults only place to be but it doesn't mean its going to be something right off of Bourbon Street either.
I just think we have to be mindful of the potential for having younger folks like the one Xyryn referenced in attendance. We don't want the Roba to just be an NC-17 type of roleplay setting but a more inclusive one. Mature roleplay doesn't have to equate to an AVN awards after party, thats what the Lucky Lekku is for, right?
Oh and would someone mind making me an admin on the Roba?
