Download Error

Ok, my PC tanked the other night and I've had to reformat it. Unfortunately I didn't have anything backed up, and so now I'm trying to reinstall SWG.

Well I have a copy of the Total Experience so figure this will save me some time downloading patches. I start installing it and everything is going fine until I get to disk three and patch 15. Every time I get to this point I get a transfer error and have to start over. Any suggestions?

I'm also concerned that if I can't install from the total experience then my RotW will not be enabled, or at least I won't be able to access Kash.

If you install your original unpatched CD you'll ahve a ton of patch time but everything will come down from SOE. If you do have JTL, its helpful to install this as well as it contains some of the later publishes.

When I reloaded I did not have pub 1-9, but with JTL the patch files for 10, 11, 12 seemed to be there. It just got what it needed and scanned everything at the end.

Well even from Patch 15 it says it's going to take 6 hours to download. And then I'm worried I won't be able to play RotW, any thoughts on how I can fix that?

I had a wierd patch problem once, and the idiot CSR's said I had incompatable RAM. Since I had the game installed on two comps, I just copy pasted the patched version and all the files into the swg folder on this comp. never had a problem after that.

you will be, because your access to rotw is based on your ACCOUNT, not what's installed on your computer...if your account says you can access it, it will dload the appropriate stuff...you HD may have been wiped, but your account will always be at sony

Thanks, that's what I was hoping for. It was finished downloading this morning but then I also had to update my Video Card so didn't have time to see if I could log on after that. Hopefully tonight things will run smoothly.

Yeah thats why you have to enter those pesky reg codes. It tells Sony what you should have acess to including right down to the patch process.
