I liked Scott Bakula better in Enterprise... That show had gotten to its best right about when they cancelled it. Sounds familiar, like something that happened 35 years before.

I caught it just a couple times in repeats. It was pretty cute but I didn't really get into it. I agree that I liked Scott in Enterprise. And the show really was getting better and better just in time for the ax.

Ok man a few of us are a little to young to know what your talkin about, either that or I'm just not a nerd enough to know what your talking about. Take your pick. Any way what are you refering to?Jabe Adaks wrote:I liked Scott Bakula better in Enterprise... That show had gotten to its best right about when they cancelled it. Unless you are a currently a toddler Jerrel, you were alive when Enterprise was on. It started a few years ago...
If I am not mistaken, it is supposed to follow the crew of the Enterprise prior to Captain Kirk's?[/i]

The original Star Trek series was canceled at season 3 in the late 60's. Of course the fans thought it was at its best when it was canceled, just like when Enterprise got cancelled.Jerrel wrote:Ok man a few of us are a little to young to know what your talkin about, either that or I'm just not a nerd enough to know what your talking about. And no, I was not alive back then either.

Loved that show. I never did get to see one single episode of Enterprise but I knew it had to be good with Scott as a Captain.
I also loved MacGyver. In fact, being a younger Tales member, I grew up a kid in the 80's pretty much a slave to the t.v. filling my head with the Adam West episodes of Batman; watching Bill Cosby late at night on Nick at Nite when it first started up on I Spy! ; HBO when it was good and had that kick ass opening theme before they'd play a movie almost 'all' the time.
It was kind of wierd for me because as I was growing up I didn't realize too well the concept of time... So, I'd see the old episodes of Star Trek and when I saw the movies... I had this idea that it was all being shot right then. ::chuckles:: It wasn't until I added on a few years that I'd realized that it was a series from the late 60's and had been off the air for a greater part of a decade before the current films were being made.
Gosh, this thread just fills me with a sense of nastalgia (sp?). Now I'm going to have that dang Turkey T.V. song 'Fish Heads' stuck in my head for the rest of the day as I wonder what ever happened to Dr. Who... I mean... that Quantum Leap guy... I regret I don't remember how that series ended either.

We didn't have cable growing up, so I didn't get a lot of the shows my friends from the similarly 80s-kid generation got. However...I have fond memories of watching McGuyver with Grandma. She thought he was the hottest thing since Jimmy Dean.
Who remembers Doogie Howser? That was one of my favorites.
