What my character would do all depends on the information received and/or the scenario he's put into. If I am presented with information then it is up to me whether or not I delve deeper into it. In some cases I may want to know more and in other cases it may be best to ignore it for what ever reason (political, personal, ooc, or other).Ekade wrote:Which begs the question.. what would your character do?Shensen wrote: Yeah I know it's posted there which is great, but you know it's easier to get involved in a story when something actually happens IG than reading it here and then going IG and all of a sudden you're toon who was previously clueless now miraculously up to speed lol and just shows up like mighty mouse *here I come to save the day!* and is at the wrong place at the wrong time and everyone stares at you quietly wondering "WTF is up with this fella?", to which his equally puzzled companion replies, "Too much spice I think. Should we put him down?"....and then the situation degrades rapidly from there. Ok so I ramble...I'm medicated now so this should lessen over time.
You are presented with a piece of information. How do you react to it? Do you desire to dig deeper and find out more? If so, then do so.
If your friend desires to help us, and you are not sure why.. then what would you do? Most likely, you would want to talk to him. If you don't know what the Temple of the Goddess is, you would ask him about it, no?
IC I don't know that Hashum wants to help Temple, nor do I even know it exists let alone what anyone's motivations are.
As Hashum stated, cliff notes are good in the most basic form I think - too much detail could ruin it (as you pointed out), but ultimately some form of information leading to said arc has to be received before one can make the decision whether they want to involve themselves or not. Assuming he/she wants to get involved then I agree 100% it is up to them to start the process of information gathering, but there has to be that little tease piece of breadcrumb to get someone to start asking questions....
How did this crumb get here?, who left it?, why did they leave it?, was it a part of a trail? etc etc.
