For anyone that is not aware, a set of RP guidelines was created after months of deliberation on these forums. SWGTales supports these guidelines 100% and we feel its in the best interest of all roleplayers to try to follow them.

We feel that strict adherence to the guidelines will avoid disputes. When disputes occur the best we can do is ask you to discuss them privately, but we also understand that is not optimal. We are looking at better ways for the community to resolve disputed RP.

Until then, know that this forum and the team that runs it supports the guidelines 100%.

It's been a long time coming, but it is likely for the best. A good number of people spent a lot of time (no joking, it took them months) to try and hash out a good set of rules for dealing with a lot of the situations that have been causing a lot of grief around here. Rules that they hoped would be fair and flexible enough to accomodate different kinds of rp'ers but strict enough to draw the line when the line needed to be drawn.

Take a look at em. Maybe you will even enjoy them!

You'd think that in those months they would have found a way to condense them! Yeesh!

A lot of hard work and dedication went into creating these rules, particularly the PvP section, they're very well thought out and fair, and, if followed even loosely, can enhance everyone's gameplay. In the past, there have been several instances where arguments and misunderstandings could have been avoided if everyone was on the same page and an event or scene. Although it is not required, I think everyone not familiar with the guidelines should take a few minutes to review them and ask questions if they need to. If we're all on the same page here in the community, then we can all be on the same page when we get into the game...and make the game that much more enjoyable for us all.

I just want to add to this that our rules and guidelines are going to be followed TO THE LETTER.

It was 100%....now its 110%
