here's an F-14 doing a flyby of a carrier, just a smidge under supersonic...those are the clouds that form just before breaking the sound barrier

I thought that IS the sound barrier. I seem to remember that's what would cause all of the X series pilots to crash; they couldn't cross the barrier fast enough and it would force the wings to lose lift...?

some people made a few mods for flashpoint that have a really good simulated supersonic effect. First time I did it I had my speakers cranked and wasn't expecting it... I about jumped out of my chair! The same mod also had a nuke which was pretty sweet too.
