Voted Yes.
At first I thought it was a pain not to have one. Then I got to like the ride in/out of town. I does give me a fantasy/mythic dose. And the Lokian background music while I swoop! I never get over it.
However, if we want to spread Role Play awareness with our events and the very presence of the town we may just have to sacrifice some of that coolness. For the Cause, it's not that bad.
Once again, good RP points here with the background story of the 'port.
Good practical point by X'an. If we all needed to "scramble" our ships for a battle sometime, having that 'port would help.

Heh. I have the opposite sentiment about the Lokian background music. There's a sad piece that plays whenever a sandstorm kicks up. It sounds like it's out of The Godfather or something.
Tekla said it best, whenever one of those storms kicks up: "Oh god, who found a horse head in their bed NOW?"

Since I'm new here, and don't have a home city yet, I'd be more than happy to move to Nocturnus and help you get your shuttleport. I'd gladly drop a small Tatooine-style house in the city limits.

If you'd like to join the fray of wayward pirates, underground imperial splinter cells and rebel dissidents then we'd be glad to have you.
Just contact Zannon, Dwilah, Skarr, or myself for help.

"Wayward pirate" sounds right up my alley

I'll shoot an in-game email to one of the above listed soon. Thanks!

Ok, I concede the point. A shuttleport we must have. Arifo and Dwilah have managed to open my eyes to the possibilities it can provide. Although I'd like it if we could settle on a story for the shuttleport so we're sort of consistant. I like the smuggling stuff to Nym's idea. Offer's a small amount of protection since Nym is involved.
As to Xan's comment and someone later I think the scrambling our ships idea would be great. Wouldn't an imperial blockade be sweet? We'll have to get Trammel and his buddies to invade

Well if you were gonna use the idea of "finding the shuttle" then a better, more piraty storyline would probably be that this area was always a haven for smuggling and this shuttleport was thrown together hastily years ago and then abandoned. The Nocturnus group recognized how it could be refitted for their use. There would have to be more of a background to it but that could help tie in everything.

I have to say I'd avoid using any "found lost shuttleport" ideas simply because Nocturnus has a backstory. From what Zannon has established and what I have planned for an upcoming event it wouldn't fit. All I can say is Nocturnus's former owners wouldn't have had a shuttleport. Not like the ones you and I use.

The Shuttle is easiest explained away as a product of the successful casino. Zannon is a businessman...in order for the casino to become more profitable, Zannon would have to get shuttle service going. It's as simple as that. Plus it allows for smuggling things in and out of Nocturnus on a civilian ship.

Actually I factored them in to that number. We're back to 46.

I am still going to cry. Our painfully slow crawl to the shuttle port continues...

You Noct guys are just fine. You are in better shape than you think. Most of your population is active players. You have a foundational stability that most other cities lack.
I would not lament your slow growth. The players you are attracting tend to stay and are active.
It's the "active" that really help you out. People are attracted to people. More and more will come. There are roleplayers out there we still have not found yet.
