Apparently, I got invited because I can see the beta forums at SOE. But I am screwed cause I think it got hammered in my spam filter. Well there goes that.

Talk to Zannon or someone who saved their invite letter. There's a page you can click on that states "click here if you didn't receive your invite letter."

Well I finally did get my invite about 10 days ago. I have played it a total of 3 times - it looks fantastic. But again, no depth. Boring "find the waypoint" missions with some shooting that is not much different than XvT. Except there is no real campaigns that actually change the balance of power in the galaxy.

I think I may have identified my problem with SWG, tilting the balance of power is inconsequential with the exception of what system message comes up when you type /gcw.

When they put in Corvettes and Star Destroyers and put in some kind of scenarios that change who controls what then we'll talk.

Exactly. That's why we come up with RP stories.. to give ourselves that feeling of being able to impact the world (and people) around us.
