Well, even the one's I linked to have that same look. I'm looking into it more and I've noticed that it can work with the higher end stuff, but I don't have to money or the time. I'm just glad that I've be able to get to a point where they don't look like barbie dolls anymore. They looked plastic and fake at first... kinda like Liam Neeson in The Phantom Menace.
Just photoshop them a bit more. It's what was done here. (Didn't have time to look at all of them at first, and forgot about it ;) )
But as it is, Poser is the best to do human (or Twi'lek) renderings fast and uncomplicated, so, I would use it too if I had the money (or the bandwi... *coughs*).
