If anyone wanted a small group to test this on I'd be open to participating in the test. I like the idea and would like to see it take shape. I'd love to get beaten by some Imperial for doing nothing.

hey ekade

As said in the original thread I'd like to try it.

Additionally, from a Smuggler Roleplayer's p.o.v., I'd like to feel that "edge" that real life crooks feel even when they're just reading the newspaper. Always on "third eye" mode.

From launch I've always done little quirky things with Keer that I thought a hustler trying to stay low profile would do. I laughed at myself because none of it meant anything to anyone but me. But it made me feel immersed, if only for a bit of time.

Among other things, I've wished Smugglers could have secret exits or hidden rooms in their homes (for a healthy extra credit chunk to the Architect and where you wouldn't even appear on CTRL+M or "Radar" Scope). Perhaps Rebels also of a certain rank.

More on topic, I'd love to hop from the shuttle and see red dots on the pad or in the lobby. At that time the decision would be "Hop or Bop?" Do I hop back on that shuttle before it leaves or "bop" my way to Coney Island, Warriors style (love that movie  ).

I'll try it! It's "Shake & Bake"! You got shook when I booked.

Actually I would love to set up fight noight - I would love to do a million things right now. But who's gonna follow Coiyonite's lead in any RP event? Then my other character is still straight up dead...

I can read. I just have to pass over the "zo is great" drivel that permeates your every post. Just put that BS in your tagline to save yourself the trouble of typing it every time. :D

You two play nice.

Alonzo your "learn to read princess" doesn't fly even if its followed by a smiley. Show a little more respect next time.

Ekade, you're letting him heat you up and you're going down the road of flammage. Let it die with you last post.

If you want to continue take it to PMs. I would hate to lock this topic, so far it has been very productive and well-contributed. Stay off the flame route.

But I put a smiley at the end.. so it's cool.. :D (yuk yuk)

I am actually in a great mood, call it sleep depravation euphoria. I was trying to be funny. At Zo's expense.. muhuhahahaha!

Back on topic...

The intent of Always Attackable is not to encourage PVP. It is to encourage roleplay.

The theory is that it makes things more realistic. People act differently when there is a real threat.

You won't be screaming "Down with the Empire" when looking at bunch of armed stormtroopers who CAN attack you. :D

What about 2 independent guilds?

<marks>
<hunter>

Just mantain 5 NPCs in each to keep them active.

Sadly many people choose not to see it as intended for roleplay, and instead see it as the green flag for open PvP, and use it disrespectfully, and grief other players.

Interesting Idea. I can't count the times I've wanted to buttstroke the guy spitting on the authority figures. But, the same works both ways. Biggest problem with this is everyone would have to leave whatever guild they're currently in. Althought you could just have the guilds all declare war on eachother, there's far too many doods and such in each guild that griefing would be at a record high.

Another issue, is if you were in guilds that did this, if you're overt you run the risk of having some leet gamer on a buff session to pwn any overt sneak up on you easy without a fight. Realistic on the rebellion side, but then who's to say that guy in full ST armor wielding the E11 can't do the same to some reb? I've already gotten in the habbit of checking names and HAM of any overt I happen to see at any event. (Generally, if they're buffed and in full comp, they are there to pwn.) Just my 2 cents. But, then again, I'm sleep deprived and ranting.

KOTOR is just a good late night time killer.......

yeah

for the record, i am always joking with Ekade...the fight we're talking about happened awhile back i was unbuffed (which means death for zo due to swordsman ham drains on his stats which are migrated to be best for buffed combat)

she likes to give me hell because she knows its rare i lose.

Its a joke though...everything said between us is in good humor...

i know you're trying to keep the boards flamefree but just letting you know, nothing to worry about there...

ANYHOO, back on topic...

I'm considering being more "nazi" like with the roba...

that means:

if you are ruining the rp environment, you'll be privately asked to stop, then if you continue, banned. Period.

Its become an insanely popular event, but at the same time...i want to make sure it keeps to its original goal. This would let me have more control over people rping "right" heavy quote marks there, but when i see a rebel spit on an imp, if he doesn't accept duels, he's gone.

Etc.

Hell, everyone already thinks i'm an elitest jackass, might as well get the benefits from being one.

I have no problem with you booting the "lame" element. With Casino Night, the policy is to first deal with the offender IC.. if they are not playing along (poor or non-existent RP), use game mechanics and boot them from the building.

I would advise keeping any conversations with offenders in tells. The goal is to maintain the positive mood for everyone else.

The Roba and our other social events are recruiting venues of sorts. Many of us encounter roleplayers out in the "wild". We tell them to hit the Roba, S&V, and Casino night to meet other roleplayers. As such, we should try to keep the mood as "RP" as possible in all these events.

I'm all for you pulling in the reigns on the Roba as well, Alonzo. The Roba is the first event I pimp out to "not traditional Star Wars" RPer's I see. It's one of the best known RP events we have.

Then again, if you pull in the reigns, we won't have any random, highly strange and out of place RPer's like we did the last time I was at the Roba (remember the guy who came to kill you, then shot the Twi'lek? Pure comedy gold).
