I was only 1/1/0/0 when I went fighting with Skarr and the others. I don't think you're anywhere close to being out of your league. Thats the beauty of space fights, its not like ground fighting in the respect that new fighters can fight alongside advanced ones and still make a difference.

Yes, and the best thing about group fighting is everyone gets full XP. If you want to get a Tier 3 box in 30 mins, find the Delta group in space, and with around 10 of you all, head to Dathomir and hit tier 5 ships.

Two very on point observations there. The first one takes care of itself, but the second one has received some attention by SOE that deserve credit.Jabe Adaks wrote:Seems like thats the most fun is when you're stuck together cause you all suck together.
But then we become uber and stop playing together..

Many people weren't grouping at higher levels because there wasn't much "high level group content" until this past spring. There was a solid effort by SOE this past spring to address the lack of group play among elite characters. I have to give it to SOE in answering that call with the Geonosian Bio Lab, the instanced Corvette, and the Death Watch Bunker.
The tasks have their respective drawbacks depending on who you talk to, but they can be beaten with enjoyment by groups of varying "uberness" and game experience. Me? I'd like to see Keer with a jetpack from the DWB one day

Off topic, but kind of on as well.

I'd like to find something that is fun for a small group of the "good, but not really uber" level. I am talking about people who have mastered a combat profession, but also have non-combat professions in their template.
I would like to see an instanced dungeon that is not quite as hard as the DWB or corvette that a group of 5-10 "good but not uber" people can handle if they work together, and also get some sort of reward for it.

Some added "I love" things.
--Meeting people you know in space for the first time. It's interesting to see how you get greeted. Some friends of mine, we shoot at each other good naturedly...others there's a sort of contest to see who has the best moves flying through space station nooks and crannies...a rare few have had very touching, close-up greetings that kinda reminded me of like, whales or elephants greeting each other. I think it says a lot about the different people I know with the way they react to space and the new environment and medium kinda gives people a new way to express themselves. Though those rares I interpreted as "touching" might have just been afk for a few minutes. LOL.
--Flying barrel rolls around Zannon. Probably looks a lot less cool than I think it does. And it might get on Zannon's nerves....I haven't asked him yet.

I've only played it for a day, but I love it. The graphics are superb, and the fun factor is way up there. I grouped with a guild mate and helped him out on an escort mission. I was doing crap for damage, but when we were on the same target it felt great to watch the rebel scum burn under our combined firepower. Was the most fun I've had in this game in a long, long time. I look forward to playing again after work. Just 7 more hours.......
