okay, I was interrupted no less than 50 times as I typed this so bear with me. hopefully I can get E-bo's done before I leave work.

Background:

Arifo does not remember her time on Ryloth. Her family was taken as slaves when she was young. On the trip to Tatooine her parents were able to barter with a young ship captain smuggler into getting their daughter safely away from the slavers. This would be the last time Arifo saw her parents. She sat in a hidden holding area in the ship as her parents were taken to Jabba's palace to work as his servants.

Arifo then spent her days learning to be a smuggler. It was either that or be left alone on some planet in the Outer Rim where she would likely just end up as a slave anyway. Working for the smuggler that saved her she picked up some basic medical skills and also was able to spend her long trips in space studying when there was down time. She seemed to enjoy science and politics.

One day her ship was attacked while trying to run from an imperial scout ship. The ship was destroyed and only Arifo was able to make it to an escape pod. Arifo found herself on the moon Talus. Quickly making friends she found herself caught up in the rebellion. It was here that she mastered medicine while working for the group known as Red Dawn.

During her early days with the rebellion she found out about a sister, E-bo, who had been born at Jabba's Palace. Since she had not heard of her parents nor ever seen them in her many trips to the palace she could only assume the worst. This news of a sister was verified through multiple sources. Arifo had no idea how a child could survive in that environment but decided she must rescue her. Arifo was able to get into Jabba's Palace and rescue E-bo before the Hutt realized what had happened. There were payments made later to appease the Hutt and secure the safety, if only temporary, from Jabba's wrath.

Gaining rank and notoriety within Red Dawn, Arifo was able to secure the position of Mayor of the city of New Hope. She even secretly married a certain Zabrak male in the process. Juggling the tasks of a mayor, and trying to keep her new found kid sister out of trouble, took its toll on her mentally but opened up an opportunity she had been hoping for. She was to become an ambassador for the people of Ryloth.

She transferred the Mayorship of New Hope to a wookiee and prepared herself to take on the role of an ambassador. But there were those who disagreed with her ideas on abolishing slave trade and her sympathy for the rebellion. This led to her being attacked one night near New Hope. She was presumed dead and not heard from for almost 6 months.

Arifo resurfaced on the planet of Dantooine almost six months to the day of her disappearance. She found her world torn apart, unable to locate her husband and a sister that had apparently turned to crime and worse to the empire. She now is trying to put back together her life in her new surroundings on Dantooine.

That's because mine would be 7 pages long. It takes me almost an hour to tell the short verson of Novall and Ekade, in character. Not to mention the multitude of stuff that has happened since then. Some would accuse me of writing a tell-all book exposing the dirtly little secrets of half the galaxy!

But in all seriousness, I will do it soon. Thanks for reminding me. I like what the rest of you have posted so far and will try to make sure mine is of similarly high quality.

Everything you need to know about Ekade:

She is a Force of Nature... Exotic and Mysterious, Deadly and Seductive.

She is an Enchanting and Enigmatic Goddess.

We're not looking for long stories in the bios. Full stories are for the Tales page of the site.

Try to keep the background section of bios as short and sweet writeups of the important things about your character. This way people can skim through the profiles, get a quick impression of your character and say "Hey, I think my character would work really well with him/her."

Here's an example.

Seret Sajet was born on the Twi'lek homeplanet of Ryloth with his mother, an excavationist and dancer, and his father, a well-known weaponsmith. Shortly after his mother's death Seret and his sister, Cista, left Ryloth with their father for Tatooine. It was there he did most of his growing up. After the mysterious murder of his father Seret went off on his own to support his sister. It was from that moment on he began to work in darker circles and eventually making his way to the city of Nocturnus to build an underworld network. All of this just to carve a niche in the galaxy for himself.

So you are looking for more of the what I get from the back of the GI Joe box thing. I though this was a full writeup.

You know.. that is really starting to grow on me. Funny thing, Ekade has recently aquired and admirer who refers to her as Goddess all the time.. LOL.. this is so not good for her ego. Someone is going to have to put her in her place.

You know... that is a great idea actually. We can all have those little bio-cards.

Let me clarify. For the main profile page, I'd like a shorter write up...but, I'd clasify ArifoObi's profiles as a good length. If you want a long back story, I'd rather you give me a short thumbnail of it for the main profiles page and then a longer story that I can add as a link at the bottom of your profile. that way, people can get an idea of who you are by your profile and then read about you in more detail if they are interested.

I suspect that they majority of the proifiles will be like Arifo's in length, but others (like Ekade's and mine) will need a synopsis and then a link or two to more detailed stories.

I think Seret's post was more in reference to Ekade's profile.
