I both agree and disagree with that. As much as I would like to have those skillpoints, it is the limitation that makes our characters special. If we all could do everything, there would be little reason to interact with eachother from a game-mechanic standpoint.

Honestly, it the skillpoints only gave you the ability to heal and mindbuff.. I think you'd see about as many Dancers as you see Image Designers. The utility of the class is not the allure.
true, but there ought to be SOME basic dancemoves anyone can do...all skor could do was clap his hands...and I didn't even get lamest dancer award, but I shoulda....just didn't have points to give up...

hell I should be at least be able to do the robot dance....I mean who in the hell can't do a robot dance...IRL is that soooo hard a dance someone only specially trained can perform such a move? do they have to go to Juliard?

it's the frickin robot....now how cool would a huge lizard be doin the robot?

LOL.. in a similar vein I spent months as a Teras Kasi Master.. I could take a Commando, and bounce his skull off the cantina floor in less than 3 seconds... I could punt a wort half way across Tatooine.

Then one day I suddenly forgot how to do that.

Sadly, game mechanics supercede "reality".

i would like to see a basic type dance that everyone gets just to say DANCE WITH YOUR FRIENDS nothing special no flourishes nothing at all and it can be 2 seconds long and constatly repeat it's self but w/e ive given up on SOE doing anything to help the RP community its like we dont exist to them since were not L33t and all that crap

Yeah and a two person dance...

/target
/consentdance
/dancewithyourhoney

And away you go like a ballroom waltz or a tango or something.

I'm with Dwilah on that one, I think a partner dancing thing, set up how she suggested would be so cool, I would ask people to dance all the time!!!

I'd be a DANCIN' FOOL!!!

100% correct. Socializing is. AFKers are the bain of an entertainers existance. I was once, for several hours, the only live dancer in a group of 20, with no customers (a pox on the person who came up with the grinding-for-Jedi idea!)...that was probably my worst ingame experience. (My severly depressed mood was changed by one Tubagoo, a walking and TALKING great cynical sense of humor.)

To Dwilah and KirtViza Re: /DancewithyourHoney.

Saw Illidain and Bril doing just that...and very nicely too. Not waltz or tango, just get-in-the-middle-of-the-floor-and-MOVE, but it looked right. :D

But surely, the first level of dancing could be just dancing with others, couldn't it? And that first level could have "Want to dance?" automatically floating above your head, so that newbies wouldn't have to screw up their courage to ask someone. And you wouldn't have to advance beyond that level. You could have the option to dump your experience points...kinda like moving money into/outof the bank. (That could be a way for newbies to get to know people, too)
