Yes, my first character was a wookiee on the Kauri server. I was trying things out and learning the game.

Then I rolled up Ekade on Gorath.. just to try out the entertainer profession. Within 2 hours I was hooked and never looked back. interacting with people in the cantina was an absolute blast.

It got even more fun when she decided to talk to a lonely wanderer that would come watch her from time to time. :D
Ahh...the days before hair :)
Ahh yes.. the all comsuming hair. That was about the time you started focusing on your "travelling armor" and all that sort of thing.

BTW.. I saw Voc Thantos outside a starport the other day.. saw Tag Maw too! (for those who don't know.. they are old time crafters from back in the day)

I've tried playing on other severs. I started her on Gorath cause a few friends of mine in rl Allib and Tod (cant remember his character name)were comming here and I've been a Gorathian since. However, back before the GM's and before Mos Eisley becoming an rp zone I was a wookiee by the name Chalmuman on the Euro server Chimera and was a member of the Citizens of Mos Eisley, the isperation for what I tried to do in our ME. I may eventually try Lowca cause rl friends are there now but it would be just to take a look.

Newly joined SWGTales Today. and I do play on other servers.

Jerrel knows me as Arimos on Gorath. However I also play Broc a Master Musican on Radiant, who was a member of the Rebel Cell Guild until recently when it merged into SOS guild. I also have Linc who is on wanderhome server who is unguilded, and I have Buro on the Corbantis server who is a member of a rebel guild that is located on Rori.

Each of these chars I run completely different from the others, in reguards with personalities, professions, and backgrounds.

Arimos is a struggling architect, tring to do what he can to make a living. Origionally a from Correllia, He joined the GM Guild hoping to find his fortune, but unable to do so, he moved to Clearwater, Dantooine and joined the FW guild there which was working out just fine, until one day he got tiffed at a guild member demanding him to help defend the rebel base there and was kick out the guild. He packed his bags and found a sparsely populated spot on Talus to start over with only 3,000 credits to his name.

Buro is a loner mostly, He doesn't often ask for help, keeps to himself, and tend to avoid big cites. Mos Taike is the kind of town Buro might be found from time to time whenever he needs to stop at a bank, or check the bazar. He joined a guild located at Freedom Valley on Rori. He had a nice house away from all the other houses. However about a month ago he tore down that house, realizing that the wildnerness is his true home. Today he is somewhere in the deep desert of Tatoonie, or the deep forest of Endor, wherever he is you will not see him in a town or city anytime soon.

Broc is a older man, who lost his family long ago, and turn to music to ease his sorrow. traveling from town to town playing his songs to whom ever would listen and give him a credit or two, he meet a lady named mystic, who was a leader of a rebel cell. She took a liking to him and got him to join Mystic's RebelCell. There he found many a friend and a home at the Bunny cantina in Rising Pheonix, Dantoonie, home of the Rebel cell gang. There he played to all the cell's members. When the cell went on a hunt for Dracs, he too tag along even though arm with only a pistol. Now he is is flying among the stars to End the rise of the mighty Empire.

Linc is Architec and Droid Enginner, who has no combat skill what so ever. If a fight brakes out he'll be the first to burst out the door, and run away as fast as he can. Simply said he is a coward on the ground. In space he is a menace, pirating ever ship that he can come across, he even shoots down civilain transports.

Those are my characters that I play the most. although I do not play everyday, I'm lucky to play each character once a week. When I do play I play them in true RGP fashion, even though very little RPG really goes on in the game. But I do make an effort to be an RPGer.

Yeah, the hardest part of RP is finding people to RP with. That's why this place exists. :D

I have a fairly well developed shell on another server and have found RPers there now, thanks to Gorath and Iago's alt. I could have found them much earlier - the first week I was on, but let the opportunity slide. :???:

lol, a bunch of Twi'leks who are plotting RP by developing community development and Goddess worship. They are the talking-est group of people I have come across in SWG.

They RP, and plan to spread RPing by example and player started events - first among Twi'leks and their friends - then eventually to as many on the server as can be tempted to increase their playing immersion. Kind of a conquer-the-world ambition.

Sunrunner = Syrossk Xor (male Dosh)
Bria = Longshot (male Wookiee) (First char)
Eclipse = E'kli Thakke (female Twi'lek)
Wanderhome = *Name Omitted* (male Wookiee) (for escaping /tellhell)

Haven't been to Bria or Wanderhome in a long time (before January). I frequent Sunrunner and Gorath and haven't seen Wanderhome since JTL arrived.

RP on Sunrunner: I've yet to get Sy involved in the Twi'lek guild of RPers that Xyryn is talking about. (Sy was raised by a Twi family). The rest of the RP I've run into is ALL about the GCW.

My guildmate and I went to an RP ballroom dance, last week. There was one guy dancing (afk), 2 afk musicians, and about 20 people (3-4 of which were anti-RPers shouting all kinds of stupid and dragging a Rancor around the Theed Palace). Half of the group was being secretive about their Rebel status and RPing espionage, the other half were Imperials trying to recruit.

We took a ride on a Decimator...then sabotaged it, and ran away...RP is fun.

All-in-all, I prefer RP on Gorath. I've only met one RPer on Sunrunner that isn't obsessed with politics. (Not counting KS (Xyryn), as she essentially wasn't an RPer before she came to Roba-Nite)

BTW, KS, Dags and I are good buddies now.

P.S. Gorath forever. ;)

Thanks for the info Iago. I like hearing about other places. I will never move, but I am more than happy to steal a good idea or two. :D

Yw, 'kade. If anyone wants to go in search of RP...I'm willing to explore other servers. I'm considering heading to check out Starsider. I hear it's very RP motivated...and that's where Bluestar and her hubby went (from Dohrian).

Yeah... I've also heard there is little or no RP on Starsider. It guess it depends who you talk to. I can usually only spend a few minutes on another server before I get bored.

"Finding" the RP is hard to do, unless a server has a place like this.. and people who bring it up enough for people to notice.
