I made Karrida the Tauren on Argent Dawn. I played for about an hour and had a lot lot lot of frustration with it.

what kind of frustration?

I couldn't figure out the interface or how to fight, what I was supposed to do, and I couldn't get anyone to speak to me, IC or OOC otherwise. The lack of customizing on characters is a big loss of points for me, too. I did feel like the landscapes were pretty and the graphics as far as how they ran were smooth, and I do like the Warcraft universe.

Ok... I will probably pick this up after the new year. The only problem I am having is being torn between SoD friends and rp friends. SoD was very RP lite and they preferred the PVP side which I NEVER fit into after I left New Hope.

Well as soon as MEO comes out I will balance SWG and MEO 50 50 so I can keep my freinds and stuff in check.

I think they need to add "World" to the end of "Middle Earth Online".

This way the acronym can be MEOW.

You're just bitter because all WoW characters have mad dance skills and there is no dancer profession. My own troll kicks it Brazillian-style with some Capoeira moves.

But you haven't seen joy until you've seen an Orc perform their "Hammer Time" dance. My side still hurts and I saw it two days ago.

Actually I am bitter about that. No one appreciates my profession. They even make an entire game for the sole purpose of mocking my profession.

I am not so sure thats true. If ther were not dancers or entertainers there would be no reason to socialize. I will admit that the profession as far as game mechanics had become trivial - but the importance, exspecially for RP should not be underrated.

I will eventually make a character on Argent Dawn to join the few of your there for RP but I have yet to be able to immerse myself enough in this game to RP. I mean to say its very fun and impressive but not grounded enough for me to RP.

Read the history, bud. Perhaps you already have and it hasn't hooked you, I don't know. But by the time I got to the Frozen Throne era, I was hooked.

There is a lot of good things I could say about this game, and I mean A LOT, but for now I will only give out one thing....
... the load time for this game would shock any SWG player.

Ain't that load time something? Wait 'til you ride the bats, eagles, and airships between WoW locales. I'm still marveling at the flying animal travel sequences. I used to go brew coffee in-between SWG loads!

I already chatted a new ear on Nyase last night, poor guy :lol: . Anyway, send ole Evil Heathen Praow a demonic dispatch or malefic missive when you get to Argent Dawn, ya' Troll bastid

Sorry, I was on a mini-rant. I just came back from the SOE boards, reading a year in review thread. People were posting their opinions on "Best of.." for every profession. Just about every dancer mentioned was an AFK bot. That pissed me off to no end.

I love the Warcraft story and all the games before this one. The intro to each race was very well done. The problem for me isn't liking the story, its that I cannot find my own place in it. Seret has his place in the SWG world, allbeit a small one. Malfandango is just someone I love playing as for the sheer fun of the game. I enjoy playing within the Warcraft story but when it comes to RP I need more depth for myself.

But I find that other good RPers make my RP experience better and make me a better RPer so hopefully with a few of you folks on Argent Dawn I will like it.

Tell me about it. Aside from the very short loading-in there is NO travelling load time. Everything is expansive and real. There is a lot of "invisible walls" and assumed boundaries in SWG but WoW has none that I have seen.

I will show up on Argent Dawn soon and based on my character on Agrammar I will most likely be exactly the same character. I can't imagine liking anything more than my purple-mohawked, caribbean accent-having, backstabbing, knive throwing, dual-wielding, pickpocketing, stealth-sneaking, capoeira-dancing Rogue Troll.
