Its temporary, which doesn't make it less annoying, just not perminantly annoying.
Its one of those things where the devs have to turn something off to work out the bugs. So for the time being they get no TEF for using the force or lighting up their saber.
The fact that there are assholes out there taunting the BHs because they can't do anything about it right now is just really stupid. If I were you Trayuse I'd mark down each of their names and get a bounty hunting troupe together to go after them once the TEFs are back in place.
One question though. It thought BH missions are still in place. They just pay less and yeild less XP at the moment.
