Bah. Damn you all if you know. I'll just raze a planet. That's what star destroyers are good for after all.

Yeah, but you might end up taking out the wrong planet. Bothans are slipperly like that.

So I'll just point to your quote and do what I did in Rebellion. Build 4 death stars and destroy every planet in the galaxy. Man was that an easy way to win for the empire.

Was that the RTS with the ATST on the front of it? If so, I remember looking at that game thinking "Yeah, I like Star Wars and all, but this looks like crap."

No, this was one of those strategy games. I did not play it, but someone close to me did. Though I did watch a few times. It was a very slow game though.

It was a 2 player game where each player fought to control the galaxy. Basically you took over planets through force or diplomacy. Each side had the SW heroes. They all had ratings in things like Diplomacy, Incite Rebellion, Sabotage, Combat, etc.

Planets produced "production" units based on what "factories" you built on them. You built ships. There was a technology aspect too.

But this was a PC game? I'm having vague memories of it.

Yes, it was for the PC.

I did and still do play it when I need to think :) To me its a seriously fun game like Civ2 and Age of Empires. I have yet to beat the rebellion on hard setting with HQ victory enabled. Rebs can move their hideout to any planet they control...even if its an uninhabited world on the edge of the galaxy.

Novall's homeworld can be found on Rebellion...infact thats where I chose his home from :P

There is nothing like building a fleet with 3 SSD's, a deathstar, 12 ISD 2's an interdictor, 20 lancer frigates and about 300+ TIE defenders. Who cares about taking over the planet. Destory one in the system and over half of them convert to you 8-)

I still love that game. I can beat the rebellion on any setting. It's the emprie that I have hell with. That, and I don't like beating em anyway.

And your fleets were way to small. You need more capital ships. Star fighters were fun, but it was the big heavy hitters that made things interesting.

As for the planet, I was trying to think of a core world for Nyase's background, but I keep forgetting what's where. That, and the map on there is all shot to hell anyway.

Oh, tramel, the game you were thinking of was Force Commander. And I love it. All you need is 4 AT-AT with about 8 AT-AA and you can destroy any base. hehehehehe.

Ah Force Commander. It's good to see that tactics can travel cross game, because in Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds, all you needed was 4 AT-ATs and you could take out bases with no prob.

Eh, in GB i just built about 8 air cruisers and sent in 10 fighters for support and destroyed their base. went much faster.

Nah, those cruisers took too long to build, took too long to fire, and had that AOE that could kill other ones.

The AT-ATs were always better for me.

You must've had them all too close to each other. Mine had some good distance. As for build time, I had nothing but time. I build a crapload of fortresses for def and then put max STs in em. They die before even getting to the shield walls. hehehehe
