24 is on my backlist of shows to get into. Ever since DVD sets came into being, I've become a huge TV viewer (even though I never watch TV, just the DVD sets).

Right now my girlfriend and I are going through season 2 of the Sopranos (got to get her up to speed). She's PISSED that they didn't do all six seasons of Oz on DVD. She's loves that show. I've seen all 6, but I can't seem to find them anywhere on the net anymore.

I liked Oz a lot too...despite the MERCILESS amount of crap I took from my girlfriend because of the obscene amount of dude on dude action in that series. But it's a federal penitentiary for cryin' out loud.

Have to say though, I was thoroughly disappointed with how they ended the show.

Anyone have any thoughts on how Battlestar Galactica will proceed this season? What would you like to see?

Personally, I'd like to see a little role reversal between the survivng colonists and the military forces. The civilians get a bit meaner and the troops become more bonded to them.

Basically, like some nasty partisan fighters. An angle on the Star Wars Rebel Alliance that we never really see in the SW movies. I think it's in the cards.

They need each other to survive. That is what I hope they show. Armies run on beans and bullets. Soldiers aren't farmers or manufacturers. If there isn't civilian support the galactica won't be able to run. I don't care how good their engineers or doctors are. They are gonna need the entire group.

I just hope it doesn't turn into an adult soap opera. The old series mixed the drama and the fighting well. I hope this one does also. There is a better backstory given this time and I think they gave the characters more of an edge. That is what will seperate the two series.

They should get Kenny Baker to be the kid's bioengineered/bionic dog thing. whatever the hell that was.

You mean daggit or muffit. Yeah, I think the kid that was sitting next to Boomer, when she flew the refugees off Caprica, in the movie will probably take the place of boxey. Hopefully they won't bring the mutt back.

Wasn't it a Daggit that was named Muffet? I don't remember...I haven't seen that movie in ages. But the guy who played Starbuck looked an awful lot like one of Al Bundy's neighbors in Married with children.

In Battlestar (TOS) Starbuck was played by Dirk Benedict (Face from the A-Team). And it was originally called a Daggit or named daggit but Boxey called it Muffet.

In Battlestar 2K5 Starbuck is played by the lovely and talented Katee Sackhoff.

So to keep the tradition alive I'll will not be watching season 4 on Fox but rather looking forward to next New Year's and the DVD set.

Man, that IS a cool tradition, but you're totally missing out on the whole "holy shit, it's 5:30, if I don't leave work RIGHT NOW I won't get home in time for 24!!!"

This question must be asked...why the crap is Boomer an asian chick instead of a bad ass black guy like he was supposed to be?

Furthermore...I recall Cylons looking like a big pile of mean metal with a cool visor that had red lights on it.

I haven't even seen an episode, but if these two things are as I have heard, I won't be seeing any of them.

Boomer is an asian chick, but she's a pretty cool character.

The cylons are still metal with the glowing red eye. It's just that they've created a few that look human.
