Should gungans be a playable race?

I actually would love to see them as a race, I think they are a really cool looking and sounding race..except for Jar Jar. Boss Nass sounds cool as hell when he talks and he looks cool too. General Tarpals? Cool as well.

They are a neat design for a race and very interesting with their underwater cities and such.

Ditto. Apart from Binks, I dug the overall look and niche of Gungans.

(Hey, I grew up before cable and VCR's. :P Flash Gordon re-runs were viable sci-fi fare then. Anyone remember the Flash Gordon cartoon? Way ahead of it's time).

Yes, Lucas really yearned to update Flash Gordon and probably would have done a great job of it. Sure wouldn't be too hard to improve upon the version that came out after it was obvious what Lucas could do. That Gordon movie could and should have been so much better.

It's one of those ironic situations that pop up in entertainment. If Lucas had have gotten the green light for Flash Gordon we may have never seen Star Wars. Or at least it would have been made later on. I'm glad it worked out the way it did.

Cartoon? I used to stay up late watching the old black and white serials rerun on PBS.
