The game laks decent PVP. the declaring for PVP thing is the dumbest system I've seen. In DAOC you have a realm that is you pve area, and each five levels (highest is 50) have a battlegrounds where all three realms compete for keeps. The Frontier areas are the three realms contestable areas, 8 keeps each, two well defended relic keeps. It allows for very interesting PVP (called RVR realm vs realm) The Relic keeps give the realms special combat bonuses. And owning the most keeps grants access to a special dungeon.
PVP with a system of goals and rewards... exactly what SWG lacks. They should add planets (like hoth or something) where you are automatically declared, and fight over key possitions for some kind of benefit to your faction. This piece-meal crap is terrible.
I continue to play SWG for the RP, the gameplay aside from that is terrible.

SWG diehards should be very happy. The best thing that could happen to Galaxies is for another game to come along and eat its lunch.

Yeah, just as long as SWG does not die. Though I am constantly impressed by the numbers of people that are still around, many of whom are not even roleplayers.
Every SWG Dev should be playing WoW to see what it does right.
The one thing that sticks out in my mind, is that in WoW there is no Sumperman Mode( aka buffs ). Superman mode kind of took much of the magic out of SWG. There are very few places that are scary and unexplored. In WoW.. you make it a point not to travel a few steps off the road lest you get eaten by some nasty.
Fear is a real thing. The AI also picks on you if you are in over your head. It says, "Hello n00b.. you have no buiness here.. *SLAP*!!"

Figuratively.
It definately lets you know you are not welcome. Your level relative to the monsters is a factor in how they aggro you.

I started casually looking for a copy when you first posted about it Keer. Now that I really want to try it? LOL not a copy to be found and when it was found, accidentally put out on the shelf. The guy was really apologetic and maybe I shouldn't have cancelled but god, was I mad. Hind sight is 20/20.
