Oh screw you, bro! When my writing career picks up, and they let me write an EU book for SW...I'm gonna have a fit, when you claim that you gave me that idea! I've had this story written for years...but only in my head. :-( Just don't steal the rest of it, you telepathic ex-twi'lek! *hugs*Keer wrote:Here's an idea that I had once for a lightsaber, seriously. Instead of a color, have one that was not part of the visible light spectrum. Still as deadly, but just invisible to the naked eye. A saber such as that would be a mark of a Jedi so in tune to The Force that he wouldn't need to see it with his eyes, instead feeling where the blade was.
Any opponent would have to also be as sensitive or suffer a serious disadvantage in blocks and parries.
Have at it. Maybe it'll be good enough to make me want to read EU books again. My only condition is that you write the books under the name "Viva La Boom!" (exclamation point included). :lol:IagoBoom wrote:Oh screw you, bro! Purple is a popular color, I do not understand why the Star wars ihstory has not made its own class for Purple.Curse wrote:Purple, all the other colors just seem to bug me when I'm using it...
You mean this one?warsloth wrote:I would have to say purple... the bad MF jedi...
Luke found his crystil somewhere. I do not remember where he got it I just remember he got one from like a cave or somthing like that. Synthanized crystils are for training sabers. I think all the Jedi go to a force powered wal mart and go to the light saber accesiories department where you can pick different attachments. Dearth maul got his to match his eyes not because he was a sith. But anyhow I did not get the color idea just from KOTOR. I read books often and when you read the books you kind begin to understand how the color reflects their personality.Curse wrote:Well the like blue for guardian etc. is only from KoTOR, and presumably a tradition that ended when the jedi were decimated around that time. So blue/green for the Jedi Order of "our time" is just because those are the natural crystals they were able to find. The red are easily synthesized(sp?) and that's what the Sith use. I also think that Luke made his crystal? Not sure I never read Shadows of the Empire.
Anyway... Yeah so I think that whole thing with the color for class is just a moot point.
