No Jabe, its just that people have a pretty straightforward view about camping while you have actually touched on the upside of it. I call you Optimist Prime.
"Camping" has always been a negative word in MMORPGs because for the most part it is. Overcrowded areas don't leave much room for players to enjoy the game and not get grief from other players.
But you're right and wrong. I say wrong because its not camping that leads us to find random people to group with and play. Camping itself means everyone for themselves, take what you can while the getting is good and everyone else who comes alone is worth spit to you. Random grouping isn't camping at all, its just pure circumstance. In a game with thousands of players together on one server you are bound to find good random people to group with and enjoy playing time with. This could be a crowded spawn area, an RP event or just a starport.
So we're talking about two different animals here, Campers and Allies. Campers care only about the loot or the kill for themselves or the group they are with. Allies are out to have fun and want others they do not know to enjoy it with them.
