Let's not forget....

Twice. I never got him the 3rd time...I got bored of looking, but I usually do have an active BH mission for him at all times. That's how I got him the first time.

Even though it would alienate some of my guildmates... I would just like a checkbox in options that just autoignores jedi. it will never happen but I would love it. not only does it make them silent to me... but also invisible.

It wouldn't hurt the game too much in my mind. I mean I know people would look weird when they are talking to an invisible character... But to me Jedi are like the Easter Bunny and Santa Claus, figments of your **edited by me** imagination.

Of course if you engage in combat all bets are off.

I have yet to see a Jedi. Maybe it would help if i got out and actually did some exploring. I'm sure when i do I'll be equally as annoyed.

Just head to Theed. I saw one last night burst running, in Jedi robes, using a double-bladed purple saber. This no TEF thing needs to go.

YES!

I ran an event a coupla months ago (pre Pub9) where the players were a mixed group of rebs and imps. I had them overt most of the time to stir up some conflict internally and with the stuff I threw at them. One of the segments required the group to retrieve an item from someone, whether by talking, bribing or otherwise. To make it interesting I 'hired' two players to hold this item and try to keep it from my group. They were jedi guardians (at a time when nobody was admitting to being one), and they weren't roleplayers by nature. They were pretty quiet at first, got to the fighting, beat up the group (no DB) - then ended up RPing toward the end! They stayed in character and helped the group out by giving them what they were looking for. I wasn't expecting that at all, just a tough fight for the group and jedi as a surprise foe.

Jedi are all too common now, so it would be no big deal to get a couple to put the beat-down on your RP group. The situation was different then and I was very happy when these two volunteered to help me out. They risked having a TEF, accidental DB from my group, and name exposure since they were both still hidden.

I'll back the Dooo up on this one. Those 2 Jedi in the event were very cool indeed. They played their Jediness very well and it was a nice switch from the "Hey watch me throw my lightsaber, I rule you!" Jedi we're all used to.

Okay, that's two. I don't know -zepp- but I'll take your word for it because I've known spuds mckenzie (serious, that's his Jedi's name) since before he was a Jedi (he took me on my first Tortur hunt on Talus, in like Week 3 after Launch Day).

Even though we've never RP'd together, I'd have to say that the "play style" of his original character is the closest to Boba Fett (or how Boba should have been portrayed in the movies) than anyone I've ever encountered.

I try to think with the general health of the game first, and I hate to admit it but a lot of my time centers around "Will SOE ever 'do the right thing' and correct this Jedi issue?" "Will they have the spine to tell them 'hey, we put the game out WAY too early. And in an effort to boost it we offered a big fat Jedi Lollipop that kept people grinding away at professions which "incidentally" kept them paying their account fees'?"

In the immortal words of Marvin Gaye:
"Makes me wanna holler, throw up both mah hands."

Time will tell.
