This supposed "Valentines Day Angst" is just thinly veiled laziness. C'mon guys.. friggin slackers. Get off your ass, go to the grocery store, buy some cheap flowers, spend 15 seconds picking out a card, get in line with all the other romeos, try unsuccessfully to flirt with the check out girl, and show your honey you love her. It's not THAT hard.

Stop whining about having to do a little work.
Why do I have to buy flowers to express my love? I think words mean a lot more, and I let my girlfriend know everyday that I adore her. I don't just do it once a year. Don't even get me started on the "Show her you love her by buying her a diamond" business. My girlfriend, thank god is not that superficial.

Words mean a lot...so do actions. All times of the year, for both sexes. I think, man or woman, someone appreciates their partner taking an extra effort to say or do something out of the ordinary, whether it's on Valentine's Day or not.

I will start buying flowers when girls start holding doors.
