Ok now is the time, whats your new template gonna be?
Another thing to keep in mind is that there are new versions of old guns available that are WAAAAAY better than the old ones. Master smugglers get a special DL44 that can do over 800 max damage. I messed with one a bit on TC and have to say, it's brutal and sounds cool as hell when you shoot it.

Im basicly screwed by the new system since in the old system i could be tkm/master brawler/master musician and still go fight. Now i gotta decide whether to be a wuss or drop musician which i love.

I'm almost past caring.
I though of dropping Swordsman and going back to Smuggler.
Maybe taking up novice Commando.
I'm kinda mad at what happened to Entartainers. I go master smuggler when the last revamp was in the works and then it never comes around. I wait it out and wait it out till finally I hear that I would be allowed respec my character when the upgrade hits so I figure I'd try something else.
I hear good things about what is planned for smugglers and I think "YAY". Then the changes with Entertainers start coming to light...
*sigh*
Am I destined to always have have only half my skillpoints in a functional profession? It has made me contemplate dumping most of dancer.
Any advice on what I can do with only 144 skill points?

what I try and do is find an elite skill whose novice requirements are similar to those I already have, so I don't waste skill points in other useless nov professions
I don't know what the current prereq's for smuggler are, but combining it with pistoleer would be good (since smuggler has pistols in it)

Smuggler prereqs are the same...unarmed 4 and pistols 4. You could almost master pistoleer and then master smuggler and entertainer if you want to. Smuggler has a lot of new neat bonuses to combat that you might like...including being able to remove states like dizzy and blind from yourself.

Smuggler still has the same prereq's as it did before the CU. At least when I tried, it was.Skorixor wrote:what I try and do is find an elite skill whose novice requirements are similar to those I already have, so I don't waste skill points in other useless nov professions

Commando requires Unarmed and Ranged Defense.
Pistoleer Requires Pistols and Ranged Defense
Smuggler Requires Unarmed and Pistols.
But when tried to respec in TC, I crashed. When i cam back on, I was unable to respec again and try it out.
Not even sure if I want to do Smuggler.

I am not to disclose all of my template but You will see Master BH and Master pike in the end. I only wish my old friend the DE-10 was worth keeping but it is only a nice looking toy compared to a High cal Scatter and some of the new pikes.

I will be taking Investigations IV. To hunt the game wrecking Jedi (Sorry Warr) and also to take down Imperial bunkers. I believe I will stick with swords, due to the severe amount of swordsman attachments I have (god only hopes they aren't obsolete after the CU). The rest, right now, is open game. Part of me is considered Master Brawler cause I heard some good things, but I really don't know what to do at this point...
I made the horrible horrible mistake of dropping all of doctor and working out the points I needed for BH after CU. Big time error, I could have switched those points directly into bounty hunter.
All in all, Rebecca, unfortunatley, and for a long while, will not be fully capable of doing what I want her to do.
Definatley keeping master swords though.

MBH/MRM/some Pistolier havn't desided what skills yet, or I may go MBH/MPistolier/RM 4-4-0-0. Which one do you guys think is better. I'd like to really get involved with Jedi Hunting but not sure what would be more effective.

In TC Rifleman owned Jedi, 60m out a Jedi wouldn't even have time to get in range, even if they were a powers Jedi. So I suggest you pick up some good rifle certs, Sniper Shot, and Cover Shot at the very least.Jerrel wrote:MBH/MRM/some Pistolier havn't desided what skills yet, or I may go MBH/MPistolier/RM 4-4-0-0. However picking up some pistols for roots and snares is also very effective against Jedi. So either way you're probably good, just pick whichever weapon you prefer for the master and compliment it with the other and you should be fine.

Luckily, I won't have to diverge too much from what I had before. Triple Master of Smuggler, Pistoleer, and Teras Kasi will turn into:
- Master Smuggler/Master Pistoleer/Teras Kasi 4-0-4-0/Marksman 4*-1-1-4*/Brawler 4*-0-4*-0
*=prerequisites
- Recon Armor certified
Combat wise, looks like I'll be a "mezz/rooter" (from Smuggler and Pistoleer) and if the enemy gets too close, I'll have the TK skills to dodge & tank some of the damage until I can put them down.
The "challenges" for me are welcomed in coming. I'll surely do better in at least a small duo with a "nuker" or small squad. Grouping doesn't discourage me, it's kind of a personal feather in my cap to recruit and execute well with a group...GO TEAM SPORTS!
Role Play-wise, this is great for Keer Tregga. Elite criminal who can quick blast his way to escape with enough of the Katara martial art (TK 4040) to choke out an overeager Customs agent and use the time between to meditate heals.
As strong as the old TK was, it never really fit Keer's character.

Not to gripe.. but Smugglers, Pistoleers, BH's.. those are the ones getting the love in the CU. I can see the logic.. those are iconic to SW.
It just sucks to be one of the ones getting no love... in fact, entertainers are actually having some things taken away.
