At least you are all able to actually play the game. I get stuck on the patch 15 download :x I went to the forum and searched for a solution, did what was suggested. No help. So I email SOE and get a response.......do you have a firewall? Guess they really don't care about their customers. If I can't play the game I will cancel my accounts and cancel preorder. *smoke coming out of ears*

the idiots once told me my RAM was incompatible... I couldnt get one of the patches... so I ran the patcher on my secondary comp and copy pasted the game file to my primary Gamer. I have been playing problem free ever since. The people they have working for them are incredibly stupid. I hate when companies make products that suck big ones, or make changes that leave you high and dry... like the fact that I cant even play the game now, and I have had to manually reset my comp twice today because of it. This burns me up because my comp has not been shut down or rebooted in three months.

Well you could uninstall and delete the starwargalaxies directory from program files to ensure a clean re-install. But you'll have to repatch from whatever publish was out from when you bought the game. So its a gamble, especially if the problem persists for some reason.

There are 3 computers in this house and they all get stuck at the same place on the patch. I did uninstall and reinstall on one of them and same thing happens.

This is the same place it froze when I tried going to TC a couple weeks ago. I am wondering if I delete the patch 15 icon in my swg file and try downloading again would work? I have been afraid to try it cause I wasn't sure what would happen.

Sheeesh War, that is awful I have heard the game is very buggy.

my first combat impressions:

dead 4 times

can't clone anywhere

massive wounds that can only healed by a doctor, which cant be found

anything under yuor skill lvl you get a whopping 1 xp for

anything higher than you kicks your ass dead

trying to find something right near your level is isn't easy, even with takin missions from terminal

datapad wont show any waypoints, yet says it's full and says to delete something, only I can't because there's none there...csr says we have no idea why that is or how to fix it, sorry douchbag...

I respec'd this evening by losing a tier 4 LLC skill, because I had 900k xp in it, and was going to relearn it, BUT they changed LLC from heavy weapon xp to rifle xp, which I have none, so I have to relearn 450k xp of LLC i already had (on my krayt llc that got its dmg halved by conversion)


I am trying really hard to like this and understand all this, but it seems like I keep getting kicked in the dick

As a master Squad leader and 4004 pistoleer, my combat rating was 67...I went hunting with Oeree and Dwilah (whom I believe were in the realm of 66, but I can't be sure) on Dantooine.

I will be damned if I didn't say I had a blast. Granted we didn't get xp for most of what we killed (pikets, huurtons, bols), we managed to find some quenker ravagers (82). It took a bit of coordination among special moves in order to not get stomped by one of them, but it was doable AND very fun. We got 5k plus xp for just one of them.

Sorry to those of you who aren't enjoying the new combat system, but I think it is going to be pretty cool.

I have no problems with the combat system at all. My problems lie in the 1000000 bugs they let go out with this without keeping with schedule and getting those extra 2 weeks of testing in. Kinda seems like the players arnt worth testing a system for.

THAT right there is good stuff.

A combat system that makes you have to think and work together is a very good thing. Combat should make you walk away with a sense of accomplishment.

My wimp factor is 4. I was a Master Dancer/Master Musician, with novice medic and the first tree of Brawler (had just qualified for Novice Teras Kasi). I was in the middle of the Imp Themepark when the servers shut down, and was able to complete all missions up to that point without any problems.

Now I can't heal myself, I can't fight anything on any of the missions. I dropped Master Musician (my in-game wife loves my dance moves so I ain't giving up that - Hell, my RL wife wants me to learn those same moves for her in RL, I just don't know if I can bend like that), but only got regular points for it that I can't use. I now have to find a sword to continue on towards TKA, and I have to have help to finish the theme park, otherwise I won't glow.

But I am still here. Will go ahead and weather the storm and see what tomorrow brings. Plus, I have a dance to learn.

Oh, and I can give a max time limit inspiration buff in 30 seconds, but have no idea what it is used for.

I went solo hunting most of last night to see what it was like. I really didn't have any trouble at all, most of my weapons converted to crap but...
Anyway I digress. I started at about CL 70 but my respec went bad and I ended up at 62, MBH, with some Carbineer. Anyway I took out some pirate missions at level 62-63 easily with no concern action and mind weren't really a problem. However I took a Gurk Mission at level 62 or 63 and due to the three spawns from creature missions by the third spawn I was nearly dead and very low on action and mind. I didn't have any stims at that point though which may have helped.

I also found that the Force Crystal still buffs health by 2k, which may have made my life much easier however I found I wasn't taking a lot of damage. I only died when attacking a lvl 64 Nym base and if it hadn't been for a few other low level mobs agroing me at the same time probably could have taken out both of the level 64's there although I'd have been spent by the end of it.

As for TKA I've heard that if you mix it with any other Melee profession it's much more viable, the specials from the other professions work as TK specials and seemed to be a huge help. That's just what I've heard from talking with several people, so you may want to see if you can pick up some Swordsman or something.

All and all I do like the system, I did encounter some bugs like all my WP's disappearing from my Data pad but that was it. I also like the NPC's more now, they seem more interactive, I was in the village and saw Pamous walking around instead of just standing around.

I'd like to try some group hunting Tuesday night, anyone up to complete Phase III? I think a group of 4-8 could probably get this accomplished.

Good, I'm glad the message is getting out there beyond the forums...

I don't mind beta-testing when I game is in beta, but there is so much shit wrong with this that i ask myself "why am I paying for this frustration" other than having a 2 viable characters I truly loved that could hold their own, into 2 characters that get their ass kicked by average creatures

ok fine, nerf me back, but let me grind it back up again...no wait...you get just 1 xp for anything even slightly under your skill lvl...and anything even SLIGHTLY above yours kills you...
