I like to be the center of attention

There are only 2 words you need to know as a married man. They are golden and sacred. Know them well. They are....

"Yes Dear"

Repeat that to yourself a few times.

Note: Can also be supplimented for "You're right, Dear" and "It's my fault, I'm sorry." You'll find you will use these most often when you have no clue what she just said.

Congratulations to you and you future <Insert Nationality Here> Wife!

That doesn't work with my wife. Although that's primarily because we both know that's a cop-out, so whenever we want to tell the other that their idea makes as much sense as sticking one's head in a pile of bantha poodoo, we just smile and say "Yes Dear."

He will be trained in accordance with his future wife's wishes. The Domestication Process may have already begun, but most of the focused training, reprogramming, etc. takes place during the first year of marriage.

Typically the male is subjected to increasing levels of confusion until the following words are uttered, "I give up.. just TELL me what you want me to do." Once this is acheived, the conditioning is periodically reinforced until the subject has graduated to, "yes dear, it is my fault" etc.

At which point, domestic tranqulity is acheived.

Btw, Congrats! Give us the mushy details! How did you ask her? Did you take her somewhere special? DETAILS MAN!

I threw it at her and said, "You win." I'm not talking under hand lob here, I am talking fast pitch softball style. Have you seen those women throw? It's horrifying.

My best wedding advice would be this...

If you try and pick what YOU want for your wedding, you will just be out-voted by your wife and mother-n-law anyway, so just pick out your tuxes and then tell her what time/date/place you need to be to get married...

learned this early on and it made it much more enjoyable...

Oh it's already been planned...we are getting married in her native country of Puerto Rico...since I have never been, she kind of HAS to make the arrangements! LOL! Hopefully, her mother will at least yell at me in English, so I can understand more of what she is saying!

if her mother says this to you:

then you are doing great!

ROFL! That got me a nasty look at work. I think this was the best post I've read all week. Reminds me strangely of an Everyone Loves Raymond I saw recently.
