It appears they removed lifespans from candles/lamps in game already.

As I checked my house yesterday candles seemed to disappear alltogether. I had a candle combination in the shape of a heart in front of my bed.
After the patch all candles were burnt out, yesterday they were gone.
I am unsure of how it works now, but I dont want to put the effort in creating a new heart if I am not sure what will become of it.

If I understand correctly, you have to leave the house for 40 min or more and then they will come back.

Barring a SOE messup.

I wonder if we could get them to code some lighting commands for building owners? And new colors.

/clapOn

/clapOff

Throw it on a macro and you've got the hell of a party. Can I get a soul clap?!

I was gonna propose Keers idea to some DEVs as part of a Roleplayers wishlist when I meet them, hopefully, at player breakfast in Leipzig.
I like the /clapon /clapoff idea, but it should only work for players with admin rights.

 Thank you, Cijj, but really I was just having a small joke with that idea. While I do think such a thing could be a nice and lighthearted toy for some of us, I humbly suggest keeping it far far down on any wishlist for the SWG Developers.

While we are on the topic though, my curiosity is piqued. What do you have so far on your Role Player Wishlist?

Oh man...dont remember me...

And dont listen to what people will tell you about Cijj :D

The house I am living in was originally a wedding suite for the first night and...well I liked it, so I got it as a present (It is really nice in the interior), including the nice bedroom with candle heart.

I gotta admit, Cijj always gets some "appreciation" for it. ;)

I love you people! :D

Boo to burnt out candles.

::rants:: Shampoo is better... noooo... conditionar is betta... I clean the hair... I make it nice and silky...

Which also goes into the... Gatoraid... H2O is betta... Gatoraid...

Wait... where was I going with this again?

Good side; Bad side is the point here.

Candles that don't burn out... well... that doesn't creat a lot of business after the candles liquidate all over the server... candles that burn out... that keeps credits flowing back to the artisan... etc, etc. And we all know the economics of mmos is grossly out of balance anyway.

Problem is:

Candles are small items, used mostly for decorating purposes and nobody wants to redecorate every 2 weeks, especially if he created a church with candle cross and so on, which takes work.

Candles dont give you anything, they just look nice.
If there was any benefit out of it apart from this, and you dont need a house for anything else than RP and the looks, I would not complain.

But the candle bug was one of the bugs nobody cared about, I mean nobody, not even the architects I know. Same with lamps.
I would even suggest that you can have a radial menu "switch" so you just put a bit money into it and its enlighted again, but having to change all of the stuff is just ridicolous.

Should have heard all the cantina owners complaining about sitting down for hours, trying to replace all the hard work put in detailed, creative decoration...

LOL, I don't think I need to listen to what other people say.

Your heart-shaped-candle-having-love-lair speaks for itself.

"Appreciation"..

I added you to my friends list, and in the NOTES section I put, "International P-L-A-Y-B-O-Y"

But people love decorating. It is my contention that SWG is basically a combination of barbie dolls and army men. I watch my daughter play pretend with her dolls and doll house.. then I put her to bed and do pretty much the exact same thing in a video game. :D
