I've obseved the behavior of Adv, Delta, xXx for the better part of 2 years.

Here are my conclusions:

- They are not stupid, not by any stretch
- They want attention
- They are actually skilled at the game. Some of the games best players have been in their ranks.
- Their goal is to piss people off for the sake of notoriety.
- "Video Game Fame" via in-game actions and flaming on the forums is their goal. They want to me known. They want people to talk about them.
- Some of them are cool people if you talk to them. Some are not. Some will pretend to be cool, then turn around and be jerks.



What to do?

Just ignore them. They will get bored and move on. There is nothing else you can do. There is nothing else you should do. Talking to them, yelling at them, complaining about them, and posting about them gives them exactly what they want. Attention.

/addignore is your most powerful tool. I suggest you use it. You can't change their mind, so don't try. Frankly, I get pissed when I see people trying to argue with them. Pissed because they don't see the futility of it. Trust me when I say that the only way to affect people who crave attention is not to give them attention.

I agree, Ekade - this is absolutely correct. I see it every day at work. (For those who don't already know, I teach 8th graders, aka "Walking Hormones.") The behavior of some xXx members, then, is VERY familiar to me.

We had an encounter with them last night at the Lost City cantina. They had dropped their guild tags, as Grendel had banned their guild tag from the cantina. They knew this, so dropped their guild.

A few came in, started up, we bounced them and then everyone simply ignored them. I made sure my guild mates did not look at them, talk to them or ackowledge them (as much as possible).

They went away pretty quickly, so I do not think we'll have much issue with them in the future, if we continue on that same path.

However, it was interesting to see the Immortals show up again. I thought their guild was defunct. Strange guys, but they didn't cause any grief.

I dueled one of them in theed the other day, im a imperial like them as some might know, the guy who dueled me deathblowed me, quite unececerry, i would never deathblow any1 in a duel, i say those nuts are quite full of them self thinking they're so leet and every1 so noob :P

Isnt xXx a little like CRIM for those who remember that guild?
They were kinda the same way, especially picasso, never liked that guy

I keep my ignore list up to date as if it were virus definitions. If you're spamming at a starport bad enough for me to ignore you, I doubt I will ever want to talk to you. I swear I must have 300 people on the list now and if it hits 400 or 500 - I won't shed a tear.

Sometimes I go to starports stand around for a minute, and start /addignoring everyone who uses caps, talks in 31337 and spams. Ignorance is bliss.

Guys, i was gone for the weekend for a party, Toront and aerulai as well...even Malch and others...but

I have been in contact with Pex, and i have his personal email now and he's wanting screenshots of these idiots in action, i have several good ones of sexual harrassment to aerulai, but if you have any more help me out, he's trying to get them banned for us

We'll keep an eye open for their misbehaviour...but I don't think we'll see any of it anymore. That is, unless they're more desperate than just unguilding, and start rerolling to get back at us. /shrug

I don't have any screenies but when they were harassing the first Lost event, I had the following on my clipboard and would just hit "Enter", "Ctrl-V", "Enter"

They should have plenty in the chat log.

Well, I spoke with Rasten. He seemed to be a reasonable person.

I hadn't had any other personal contact with xXx, until last nite. The kid's name was Motro or some such. And he was just a kid, being a kid. At a guess, he was maybe 13 or 14, and you can't expect someone that age to act like an adult. It is unreasonable.

For those of you who were at the Despot one particular nite, remember Sitnado being a frog? And he is not a kid. (And it was kinda funny...even when the shooting started and the dancers hid in the nalargon with Iago.)

I"ve got some screens, too, if you want. I can upload them and pass on the URL. I can see if any of my guildies grabbed some, too.

OH, and I've heard that xXx is trying to screw over the RPers again with their "Pimp & Hoes" party on July 1st. Their plan is to get RPers up on their "Luxory Craft", land on Kashyyyk and then abandon them.

Or just leave them in space as they all log out.

As I told the person who told me, "Um...the RP community wouldn't *attend* a party called "Pimps & Hoes". ::rolls eyes::
