If you have a problem with something someone says, you should try sending them a PM, I'm sure you'll find them more than willing to change something you find offensive. Of course, if you see fit to make a public case of it and feel the need to spend some time patting yourselves on the back, feel free.

You know, to all involved - I have to admit that this mod was a bit of a stretch. Two of the people that complained had already replied without saying a thing either hours or days before. And yes this thread has been here for over two days.

I'll mod based on the rules, but I need to point out the irony that this only happened after another spat in another forum here.

I was just poking fun, I never actually complained or felt the need to complain. So you can mark me off the list of actual complainers.
I do happen to believe that dog is the most gruesome living thing I have seen... I have personally seen some pretty bad animals in my time.

their are no rules on this forum stating that religious icons cannot be used in a sentance, topic title, or what have you. Just that conversations about the be refrained from being posted.

The use of the word jesus in the sentance, "Sweet Zombie Jesus" is nothing more than a slang term, not a zealot bashing one.

I'd like to take a moment here to point out that alot of people use these religious icons in everyday conversation to exclimate or adjust a sentance to the way they see fit.

Just because it offends you to read the word Jesus followed by "Sweet Zombie" is no reason to have it modded, much less ask it to be modded.

Like X'an pointed out if we modded for everything that offended everyone we wouldn't have a forum here to read. To you I say suck it up, let it go, and don't click on the topic if you don't like the title.

So what is and what is not considered acceptable? Are you saying that using the name of "Jesus" as a slang term is acceptable?

Honestly, I don't think you can define what is and what is not acceptable. As such, we need to try to be somewhat sensitive to what may offend people and adjust accordingly. If some things are going a little too far for some, then the offending poster(s) should reel it in a little.

We are all friends here, and this is a community, so be cool to eachother.

Just because something does not offend one person, does not mean that another person is wrong or stupid for being offended by it.


If using Jesus and God as slang terms upsets members of our community, then try not to do that. There are many other ways you can color your descriptions of something.

Can we please get back on the distrubling disgusting topic here? If you have a problem with someone's actions then privately work it out with them. If you find something offensive then contact a moderator and let them know.

What we don't need is derailment just so people can publically out the actions of another. This is not the public gallows. If you wish to have a discussion about the nature of offensiveness please start your own thread.
