Sheesh. I always find these things too late to actually post anything. Nevermind the fact I can't seem to get MS paint to reduce the size of my images for some reason.

wanna draw Whar?
btw, you can scan them and color them in photoshop. This sometimes takes less time, and then you have a sweet digital colored image
Jerrel sent me some black and whites, I did a crap job of coloring them... but my sig is the result.
Whar commonly wears a red large headwrap, a red "muscle shirt" or t-shirt, Red cargo shorts, and sandals. This is my, "Im in the desert, why not be cool, and hawt."

Love it, Sharn! Guess I need to put up some screenies of Batty. You nailed the lekku as well. It's just the oval pattern all the way down. But.. I like your version much, much, more.

First- Dwilly, slow the avatar down, I just had 2 siezures...
Hojo, she's right. That Image is ginormous.
as far as coloring crap- Seret is obviously the master of that. What helped mine was the fact that jerrel had inked the outline. I always do pencil sketches, and when I scan them and pull it in photoshop, the magic wand tool doesnt recognize my lines as lines, it looks like a bunch of dots to it.
Another thing was selecting the space I wanted to color and making it an individual layer. I also linked a bunch of spaces as one by holding shift(or control... its been a while) and making them one layer... so Whar's turban, the different selectable sections of the sword, and the gun.. etc.
that makes it so effects change the whole object and not just one part of the object.
does that make sense?

Thank you War but I'm far from a master.
My suggestion, Hojo, if you want to color your piece is to first use Contrast/Brightness to really darken your lines. Then create a new layer on top of you image and set the Opacity to "Multiply." This way you can color over your image without covering up the texture lines.
Hope that helps.
