I think he looks more like the CIA instructor type than anything else.

He kinda reminds me of a 1950's hot rodder in a cowboy hat, kicking everyone's ass in a black 1956 Chevy with a skull hanging from the rearview mirror...until the fateful day of the crash when it all went up in smoke...
but hell, that could be anyone

Well I was joking about the Buck Rogers thing. I've seen it on Sci-Fi. But as for the other two comments. Now I am completely clueless.

That robot (only one original in existence apparently) sold on eBay like a year and a half ago for just under 30k... I am surprised there was only one left and that it was beat up (had some damage).
Its likely someone is screwing it right now.

Yeah but did you watch it on network television on a Zenith wooden console TV in the late 70's? Using an antenna...
Shit, I just dated myself with all the other fogies here.

Well. I was born Sep 11th, 1978. So it is very unlikely that I watched Buck Rogers at that time. I do however know of the Zenith console TV. We had that until roughly 1987. Near the end you had to pound on the floor to clear the picture up. Good stuff.
EDIT: Come to think of it their 2nd Zenith console, the one that replaced our first TV is currently sitting in my living room at my house. I am glad my wife doesn't know how old it is otherwise it would have been gone long ago.
My parents have been married 28 years and are only on their 3rd ( you guessed it ) Zenith Console TV is sitting in their new home.

He was an astronaut. Allow me to explain...
The year is 1987 and NASA launches the last of America's deep space probes. In a freak mishap Ranger 3 and its pilot Captain William 'Buck' Rogers are blown out of their trajectory into an orbit which freezes his life support systems and returns Buck Rogers to Earth..
Five.. hundred.. years... later...

The CIA one is Jack Ryan (also played by Alec Baldwin and Ben Affleck) from Patriot Games, and Clear and Present Danger (Clancy novels) and I believe the one Skor is talking about is American Graffiti?
I remember seeing some episodes of buck rogers. The show only ran for 2 years before I was born, so I am not sure how I saw them. But I remember twiki. And I remember that Buck Rogers was a shit ton like Battlestar Galactica.

Oh. Now I get it. This thread had been derailed with sexual references and obscure 70's Sci-Fi and I lost sight of the fact that it was still supposed to be a thread about Han Solo.
