As many people as are against Jedi here, do you really think that so many new players will automatically go for Jedi? Even though we are a small sample population, and many of us have sought out the Jedi profession or are currently seeking it...we have seen the value and continue to enjoy playing non-Jedi characters in RP and in game.

Honestly yes, I have multiple accounts but no jedi characters because I never wanted to take all the unplesant effort it would take to get one. But if someone said "hey wanna start out as a jedi?", damn skippy at least one of my accounts would be a jedi. That being said I will be cancelling most of them as they are eliminating CH and other classes I was specifically playing.

Well the more I read this the more 'ok' I am with the idea of what they're doing. I am very disappointed that I spent a lot of time grinding for nothing though. So I get a few bonuses in the new system.. Whoopee.

I am not going to grind my alt now that's for sure. If anything I will re-roll him to experience the new game from the beginning, which is the only way to really learn.

There are tons of Jedi now.. and they make you grind insanely to be one. Imagine what it will be like with no work.

I am not all that upset either. The CU was a huge improvement. You should get to be what you want without an insane amount of grinding.

Look at the reason there are tons of jedi now.:

Foolish people think they have to go jedi to PvP well. With these changes, a jedi will be no better than a normal player.

People go jedi for the exclusive-ness of jedi. That will go away.

People go jedi to get a second character slot. We have no information on this as of yet, but I would assume they will give us another slot (or even a few more) with this.

Think of this. To block a laser bolt, a jedi now has to do something special...it's not innate. He will not be able to block and attack at the same time. You want to make a jedi just stand there? Walk back and unload on him.

From what I've read so far, Jedi are at a large disadvantage.

Who is jedi these days? Those that want a large advantage. My guess is that after this change, the only people left are going to be those that I could actually stand as jedi (and perhaps a few others). Overally, I predict that the number of jedi will drop.

I hope your right, but I guess it really doesn't matter, there are alot now, and I guess who knows, maybe with them being equal someone will give up jedi for another class...who knows. TC will tell I suppose.

What makes you think any of that foolishness will go away?

People want to be Jedi because they are kewl. That is a constant among fans of star wars. People want to be iconic characters.

Ask anyone in DF, I, or xXx why they went Jedi. They will tell you to be good.

Why do I think the foolishness of people thinking jedi is good will go away? Because when Jedi start getting killed in huge numbers by BH's, Commandos, even Officers, Spies, and Medics...they will move on to the next uber template. Jedi is nothing more than a FOTM. As soon as it is seen that jedi really isn't that good anymore, many people will drop.
