Yeah I am hoping it will be more intuitive than that as far as gameplay. I honestly don't know what they will be doing and I am not too sure if it will even be successful. But man I am dying to for something new either way.Viceroy Odantis wrote:Also, isn't the STO game looking a little TOO in depth...the reason i'm not a star trek fan (in general) is because of too much detail...i kinda like the SW approach of "it just works, trust me" i don't need to know why warp drives work...they do...
I heard something like you'd be one engineer on your ship...doing that job..all the time...like a crew member..sounds cool until you realize...you'd be paying $15 a month to work a george jetson job
But we ARE getting something new... every year or six months.Jabe Adaks wrote: But man I am dying to for something new either way.

As in NOT SOE... Since SWG is going to be MMO for dummies just like WoW I may as well play anything at this point.Sai'nu wrote:But we ARE getting something new... every year or six months.Jabe Adaks wrote: But man I am dying to for something new either way.

WoW = "dumby play" from my experience.Ekade wrote:Lets not confuse "dumb" with "friendly and intuitive interface" and "properly scaled leveling and quest system".
If SOE can pull this off, we may find ourselves having fun. We'll just have to see.

AOL has a friendly and intuitive interface but I wouldn't be caught dead using it.Ekade wrote:Lets not confuse "dumb" with "friendly and intuitive interface" and "properly scaled leveling and quest system".

I would have to disagree. In the upper level instances, it's certainly not dumbed down. Wow is a challenging game in many aspects and you have to develop stradegies on how to take down enemies and alot of it has to do with grouping with skilled players. Players that know how to hold aggro, who can heal you properly and keep the team alive.Sai'nu wrote: WoW = "dumby play" from my experience.
