DAoC is good if you have a chance to play it. I can hook you up with some good folks there (my entire RL family plays) on a couple servers. Pellinor is where I still have a couple accounts (one is being used as an alt by my dad.) It's less cartoony than WoW, and has an awesome PVP system. It has an open PVP server, and RVR (PVP in certain areas against the other two realms, its awesome to fight for keeps)

I mainly play on Igraine (Albion) and sometimes on Iseult (Midgard)...I have a server I play for Hibs too, but don't remember which one without seein it lol. I agree - they had the most unique PvP system of its time with RvR and yeah keep takes is awesome. Now maybe I'll have the excuse I need to go back and start workin on all the epic quests.

The open Pvp system is very nice, but i wouldnt worry too much on getting ganked since.

1. It starts at lvl20
2. Murder's Cant Rez at Citys and must wait for somone to get them.
3. Lose 3 times as much XP apon Death As to the normal Player
4. Once you become a Murder you are red to everyone, so the Ganked, get on the reciving End.

I downloaded the game for the heack of it to try it, and i got it all working. I only have one problem, when I get to the server select screen, whenever I click my mouse, the game freezes. Do you know what's worng, and how to fix that?

Does it freeze completely, or does the little red text in the bottom left tell you the server is full? If it does indeed freeze, try getting some of the Korean Language packs for Windows. It seems that this solves some of the problems (although they had patched those).

Was this recent (like today?) or a few days ago, as there was a patch that went in to fix some crashing bugs.

Today, everytime I tried.

Edit: Forgot to add I have all of the language packs.

You can try that page and get app locale to run the client to see if that stops your crashing. We experienced crashing a few patches ago and this method helped us through it, although like i said its since been fixed. Worth a try.

Also, watch the bottom left corner to see whether its a login thing or if you are crashing. The server is extremely full, so it takes a few tries to get in normally.

I was about to write something well thought out and articulate relating Skor's post to my previous explanation of my problems with admins here. I'm sure the likely reply would be it was a joke, get over it. To which of course, I would respond Kirt and Alonzo made jokes, they were banned for it. Since this subject is worthy of a permaban just for bringing it up, that would likely be the last post in the argument before it was locked.

But I don't feel like writing any more long posts....well.....longer than this
