True. And, I agree Jaminos... we shouldn't take them for their word. But when they put enough effort forth to say it isn't going to console instead of a one response reply then dropping it like they usually do... well, I tend to believe that.

Actually, I'd hope I'm wrong. If it does have a hard drive, etc, etc...

Surely more subscribers would mean more development for the game. Maybe I'm grasping for too much hope for the game here though. Even if their on a seperate 'console' server... that's still money their bringing in. That's a good thing for the game overall I'd think.

My only comment is:

I can see no logical reason for limiting players to modal chat ONLY other than advance preparation for a controller based system.

Ok I'll bite what the hell is modal chat. I've probably seen it but I've never heard names for it.

Well Modal means you have to hit a function key to start chat. Aka... Enter or / key in this case.

Pre-NGE it was just type and go and Enter to send the tell.

To be fair, Modal chat is the only way you can chat in a FPS. WAD clusters won't work otherwise.
