Anyone planning on seeing Chronicles of Narnia?

I thought I heard someone that was involved in LOTR worked on this.

Weta Workshop worked on the effects for CoN.

And no, it wasn't produced or financed by Disney.
From what is known Disney is just responsiple for marketing and distribution of CoN, nothing else.

I just arrived back home from watching the movie.

If you like the books, you'll most propaply like the movie.
If you don't know the books but find yourself attracted by something that might be described as a fairy tale... you'll like the movie.

If you can't put up with fairy tales or never liked the Chronicles of Narnia... don't go to see the movie.

okay, saw this movie sunday night...

Have to say it made me feel great, and I hope they make more of them, or at least more like it. The allegory part was beating me up. When Aslan is at the table, and the girls get up to him... I was fighting back some stuff.

Anywho, I thought everything about the movie was well done. The animation is spot on and practically flawless. In other words, I was completely emersed. There was never a point in this flick that something looked akward, or broke the emersion for me.

Same here man, the scene with Aslan was a hard one to watch

The Producer(or was it director) was interviewed on fridays episode of AOTS. He stated that he was only making one other movie based on the books, because it took him 3 years just for this one. Personally, im hoping with the income generated by this movie, it will force his hand it to attempting to make the other 5 books into movies
