Having a blast?

Not all. I said "No" and I have played a lot recently...well, up until last week sometime. The magic just isn't there for me anymore. I realized on Friday night that I would rather sit and surf for random things on the 'net rather than play SWG right now. That may change in the future, but right now, my only motivation seems to be seeing how much money I can accumulate....I sold about 26,000,000 credits in loot and resources that were taking up space in the past 48 hours...and I only got rid of about 10% of the good stuff I have.

Maybe after an extended break I'll feel refreshed.

WWII Online is looking really good right now and I might give D&D Online a quick run when it comes out next month. We'll see. I've also been gettng back to painting my WWII minis again, which SWG put on the backburner for the past 3 years.

Yeah I really haven't been playing much of anything online lately. I have the time but I also have a newborn that doesn't allow me to devote it to online gaming. I think I have only logged in a handful of times to WoW since he was born.

Mostly I have been running through Battlefront II over and over and playing with the new expansion for Battlefield. (It adds some neat things but I dunno if it was worth a expansion)

Anyway thats my overall dilemna. I need instant gratification right now because I don't have the time to play out the system. I am sure I could enjoy it but I answered honestly based on the few times I have logged in.

I'm basically at a point now where I've done just about everything I've wanted to do, accomplished what I wanted to accomplish. Other than the RP events I find it hard to logon and stay on now unless someone asks me to help them with missions or something.

My friends list is at least 1 screen full at all times. Thats an enormous difference. The high end content on Mustafar is awesome and hasn't lost its replay value. Pub 27 is tomrrow and will have a lot of random goodies in it.

Since you've last played, yes, War.

Essentially they've made Jedi more playable. Tried to bring back Non-Modal chat (but you've got to keymap it yourself a little); Improved some UI and other things.

Things that are still not fixed include what their doing with Artisans/Lag issues/ and loot drop tables. Some quest bugs still happen as well.

It's a give and take really. For some of us the game has gotten better despite the problems still in game. For others, their still on a waiting list. Publish 27 is suppose to add back Hvy weapons and some other fixes (hopefully address the lag issue).

Overall, having fun though.

I still like the game alot, only main prob i have with it atm is the combat speed, still too fast IMO i just like the longer less frantic battles i guess.

totally having more fun now! i agree with jabe, my friends list is more full now than its been in a long time. i dont know if maybe its cuz my alt is doin entertainer now or what but none the less, i m having fun again.

not really we all just got used to it and feel better about it now since all the servers have medium capacity more regularly...

Honestly, Ill be back for one full week as of tommorrow, and im having a blast. I still do not like the way the initally handled this expansion, but the game has become playable to me. Just today Xoud and Orlad helped me in the first two group missions for the YT/HK quests. And pre NGE i was having a hard time just doing the beetle cave, with a large group of mostly jedi.


The biggest problem i can forsee currently is RP. Alot of people, and guilds quite frankly, have left due to the NGE. And while people like myself do leave vowing never to return, and end up being hippocrites and return, alot of people have been turned off to this game permenatly. I think as a roleplaying community we need to salavge rp as much as we can, and try to get more people involved in rp, especially after they've completed all the quests, and have nothing better to do

Not having a blast at all.

Not because of game changes. Those have been happenning since day one in this place.

Not being able to log in as much and having a slow PC has a little bit to do with it. Im limited to basically chat and RP only until around March..This laptop is not built to handle SWG without decent lag.

Im not enjoying this game as much anymore because everytime I log into game or on this site all I see or hear about is drama. And everytime I try to interract with anyone I get responses of 'not in the mood' or 'dealing with to much drama atm.'. Sorry if Im being sensitive about the whole thing or blowing it out of proportion but its the perception I have of this server's community atm.

I'm having a real tough time getting myself excited about returning to this game and spending hours playing it when it feels like Im better off being solo. If thats really the case Im just going to buy Battlefront....no reason to play a MMORPG if youre not going to interact with others. Not asking that everyone pay attention to me when I log on here....but got to say the RP community seems pretty cliqueish and disconnected. At least to me.

2.) Because the fun I really had in this game had nothing to do with the game system itself..it was the people here...you are what has kept me here through all the bugs, publishes, and changes. But now it might be the way the community is acting that might just force me out too....if thats the intention then no problem Ill play something else or go to a different server....just want you all to know that out of all the games I've played you guys were the ones that really made SWG rock....hate to see it go down like this.

Ya know, this is really interesting and probably true.

I hate to say it, but I'm spending more time in WoW than SWG. I just don't have anything to do. Most of my guild is gone and you know how large LOST is/was. *sigh*

I don't understand the new combat system at all. Not only that, I haven't liked a single profession I've tried, except for entertainer.

I can't do any quests, I don't have anyone to play with and I hate standing around Mos E looking at AFK grinders.

I really should show up at some RP events, but my heart just hasn't been in it. I don't want to give up! I still want to play, but I'm just bored. Maybe once the new Entertainer publish happens, it will be interesting for me again.
