My disappearance main purpose, to explain why my character was gone while I was on a business trip, went away. The trip was canceled. So I thought of bringing the disappearance portion of the story to an end sooner.

The rescue was a little rough since I thought I'd have more time to plan it. The plot would have given me something to do in the hotel room other than flip through TV channels while I was away.
