Back swimming in the pool again! Got my home DSL back up an hour ago. Hopefully it's stable *crosses lekku*

This is actually my first time in 19 DAYS going online from my own home PC. Hurricane Frances put a whuppin' on my luxuries. I say luxuries because I really didn't suffer compared to others. The hurricane didn't add one debit to my account. If anything it saved me money. 10-12 days without electricity, 19 without DSL equaled less cash spent. And I got some nifty "hurricane bonuses" from the job so overall I lucked out.

I have to admit though, going weeks without internet access felt like holding my breath underwater. Especially when I was able to steal peeks of everything new going on here. Thank goodness for my boss's and buddy's cribs and their wive's hospitality. Times like these let you know how many friends you truly have.

Speaking of that, thanks to all of you who gave caring words and whose best wishes were with me for my good fortune. Every bit of it helped me in the uncertain times, really.

Looks like I have a ton to catch up on. Anyone want to volunteer to summarize?

Just kidding. 20 days on this site is a lot to boil down. I'll be in deep Tales of the Outer Rim study for the rest of the evening regardless. YaY!!!

Might not be in the RP mood tonight. Getting some "Drink-chronized Swimming" lessons now because I'll need to be sober for the rest of the weekend.

Landfall for this one is expected late Saturday/early Sunday. I'll be up to my eyeballs in preparations AGAIN tomorrow (Saturday!), probably out of comms/power after that for X days.

Well, that one wasn't SO bad.

So far I'm 2-0. Out of the four hurricanes that have hit Florida in the last 10 weeks, two of them have come to my area of the state and I'm relieved to say that I'm still standing.

Hurricane Jeanne really only stayed around me for 18 hours. I lost power while I was in-game Saturday evening (after a full set of all 9 HAM buffs :x ) in preparation for the Krayt Dragon hunt with Hashum et al. I even decided to scout out Tatt for Dragons ahead of the main party since Hashum told me he was getting ready in Nocturnus and I had Keer already buffed.

Then *zorch!* Three minutes off the shuttle in Krayt Oasis, Tattooine the hurricane painted it all black.

The good news is that I used my 24 hours without power to finish Keer's Bio {<-----SHAMELESS PLUG*Read it now in "One End of the Galaxy to the Other"*SHAMELESS PLUG}.

A pen, a notebook, and a Maglite can really get the creativity sparking. :lol:

Hopefully, 2-0 for the "season" is where I'll stay. Good to be back...again.

If it makes you feel any better there was no hunt. You were the only one that contacted me about it and I didn't see anyone else. Lok'i was on for a bit but not long enough for me to get with him and see if he was still interested. We will have to reschedule. I'll get on that.

Yeah I messed around with Norel for a bit then started felling like crap, and I didn't see wnyone else on. so I ditched and went to bed early...
