Its not really a mean side, its just a mask for the general lack of confidence a Rodian has with women.

I'm actually kinda angry about the whole Jedi fiasco. I never wanted to be a Jedi or Force sensitive, but to be competitive as a crafter I now have to be force sensitive for the extra 2 experimentation points. There really is no reason to NOT be force sensitive now.
Sorry...I thought too much about this last night....kinda bitter.
I'll be better later. Maybe Zannon and Ekade can hook up for that talk that keeps getting postponed....that should cheer me up.

Don't worry, the Jedi thing should cool down shortly, I hope.
Yeah, I have not forgotten about the talk. I am encouraged by the fact that you have not forgotten either.
Get more sleep and be ready to have fun.

This ticks me off as well. Cista has no combat skills nor have do I ever intend to have any with her but If I want her to bet the best weaponsmith she can be I'd have to do a bunch of themeparks, pois, missions and other crap just to get to the jedi quest and make get her those 2 points. Thats just rediculous to me.
How about giving crafters something non-combat oriented to do to become better, like a scavenger hunt or some sort of quiz to become better instead of throwing them into a silly jedi scenario?

And they made it tougher for us doc's to compete with our own buffpacks too. Oh well.

While badge hunting it doesn't mean you can't RP. Lots of the POI badges would make for excellent romantic get aways, and what's better then following that up with a midnight killing spree?

That's not what bothers me...the fact that I have to do it and waste what few extra character points I do have to spare on force sensitive skills, I never wanted in the first place.

lol
How romantic, I can see it now, I romantic getaway to the Lars Homestead, spread a picnic cloth out and lay on the charred rubble of on one of the buildings, and stare at the stars.
Afterwards, look for pirates and kill them

I just can't relate to the crafting, but I can understand your point. Everyone wants to be the best at what they're doing and to force them into something in order for that to be possible is unfair. I'm lucky in that I've always wanted to be one with the force, but not having the time to grind 35 professions this allows me to participate and possibly become a Jedi. I'm sorry for you though, are there no mod's that could help you be competetive without having to become force sensitive?

Yeah, as a MCM/MDoc I have enough skill points left to get pistols 4. With armor and my own buffs I can hunt rather successfully with others. I can even solo on dant if I so desire. If I want to get the experimentation points I either have to drop my meager pistol skills or drop the crafting line in CM. Neither of which I want to do. But then SOE has made it a point that they prefer dabblers in this game.

1. Become glowing. /check to see your status.
2. Old man visits.
3. Kill Siths that attack you.
4. Visit the 'Village'
5. Do Missions/Gain Force Skills.
6. Once you have mastered 6 trees/branches (24 boxes), you can opt to get a second character.
Found these "steps to Jedi" on my LJ SWG community. Not verified, so I don't know...but it's worth a try, for those of you that are interested.

Verified the /check in game just now...it tells you how strong your sense of the Force is.

Since I have only mulled the idea around to pick up various force skills to enhance Novall's ability for distruction...you'll never see him as a full fledged Padawan. There may be a time on day during S&V night in the far off future where Novall gets excitedly angry and does something surprising....like pull out his lightsaber
I've always seen the skills themselves as a way to better make my character an even more efficent hunter/killer. Sure I may have to drop a couple lines of Smuggler, but with any luck I'll still get to keep atleast the pistol line. The visage of a Jedi is far from what Novall is as a character though. I dont even think that Dark Jedi applies to him at this point in time, mainly due to the randomness of his instincts and personality.
I've always kinda liked the Kyle Katarn almost jedi/almost not character. Now I can kinda give that extra bit of depth to Novall. And who knows? Some major life-altering event may happen one day that pushes him onto the path of Jedi. Who knows...

Ignore what you've read.
Do this:
Rebel or Imperial Themepark
Jabba's Themepark
Nym's Themepark
The Warren (both)
And get POI badges for:
Exar Kun (Yavin)
Ben's House (Tatooine)
Ruined Jedi Temple (Dantooine)
Poof! Glowy.

I was wondering if I was the only one feeling resentful about this Force Sensitive regime. It seems more like Forced Force Sensitivity. While I know that it's not mandatory, it sure is insititutionalized forcing some players into character commitments if they want to be competitive. I'll pass. No thanks SOE.
They want to turn us into a bunch of Anna Nicole Smiths. All jonesing for a visit from some Old Man ! :x
