I realized as I posted this that such a question attempts to box in role playing in a defined set. But I think this comment is what I was looking for as an answer, I just couldn't put my finger on what I was trying to ask!

I've just sent all of you PM's regarding my character's present and future.

Thanks for the name tag info, Seret. No I didn't know.

I'm looking forward to this. I'm always spinning "what ifs" around in every free mental minute. I'm impressed by the Nocturnus presence here and optimistic about some of the other names that I do recognize from Gorath. Ekade and Novall among them, have been carrying the RP flag from early on. To anyone else, great to be playing with you and I'm looking forward to knowing you all.

I'd also like to see Alonzo Odantis on these boards when he gets back from vacation in 10 days or so. If you haven't talked with him, he's a dedicated and accomplished roleplayer.

Do we have a plan in the works to contact all of the "Roleplay Pockets" that may be out there under the radar? I know that it's been discussed and posted somewhat, here and in Gorath Forums. I think that it's a strategic move for our future efforts. The bigger the "cast" the more roleplay and story opportunites. What's the status so far?

These guys have been hiding in their own little world.

Not long ago I tried to host event called "The Bomb" and it failed miserably. Zannon offered me some words of encouragement and invited me to his board.

I felt the same way you did. "This is great, where have you been all my life?"

Status so far:
I have invited 1 or 2 people from each of the known groups to come and participate. For the most part they have all agreed to come and participate.

Just out of curiousity. Who are all the "known RP groups" so far? Can you post a list? Being surprised from the existence of Nocturnus, I can't help but imagine who else is out there.

Home of the Sisterhood of the Darkrealm. Heavy duty RP... not for kids Americans and European RP'ers.

- Home of Mafia. Rebel city. There is a group of roleplayers within this large guild. I hang out with a few of them regularly.

Mos Tera, Tatooine
- An Imperial City. They are very polite, good roleplayers.. especially the leadership. Their society is very structured. I plan to learn more about this in the near future. They hosted a great event last night and I think they are planning on hosting a regular event soon.

- Lost, Lok
I know there are some roleplayers here, but I have not had a chance to interact with them. If this is a closed group, perhaps we can find a way to open them up.

- Nocturnus, Lok
Still looking forward to visiting with you guys It sounds like you guys have some good things happening.

Home of the TTF. Hosts weekly event at the Crazy Roba cantina. This event is becoming VERY popular once again. Alsonzo is a good leader and roleplayer but seems to rub some people the wrong way. This is where I direct roleplayer to go if they want to meet people and get involved. There is usually so much chatter in there it is hard to keep up. Expect to walk outside to clear your mind from time to time.

There was some decent RP momentum here a few weeks ago but some of the "regulars" I used to see there are not found there as often anymore. RP here is important as I think it is good for newbies to see RP. This is a good place for recruitment.

Every one should take some thing from a RPing event. For some it will be a individual experience or new story arch. For others it might be that they just happened to be there and the event had no significant impact on their characters life.

I mean look at RL. I've been to a ton of parties/events/trips and only a hand full of them really were turning points for my life or had a significant impact on me other than having a good time.

Some times smaller things like visiting a friend can lead to a impact. Like 2 years ago I went to visit a friend of mine, well as a result of that visit I met the girl I've spent the last two years of my life with.

A event that is to affect a large group would need to be heavily planned and agreed apon my the RPing group. Being throwing into a story spin that you don't like to didn't want to be a part of can be hard to keep track of.
