Yes, no one is going to spoon-feed you Scum and Villany. I think it needs to ooze out of your RP pores. Other people will catch on of you can put out the vibe well enough. Perhaps this requires a pre-arranged scene to set the tone.

You for one should know that I dont need RP "spoon-fed" to me I can bring all you guys want...I just dont want people asking me why I killed so and so later. If Novall feels cheated...reguardless of weather he is or isnt, he's gonna ice the culpret. If he tracks a mark there, he'll ice them to ect ect. I just dont want to ruin the casino's atmosphere or become center of attenetion...because I truly dont.

Well, my vision of the casino is for it to be an interactive setting for RP...the security is their to protect Zannon's interests, not to enforce the law. We have security because it'd be realistic and we don't want gangs of thugs busting up our place.

I see your point. What I am suggesting is RP in such a way that will draw others into acting scummy and villainous with you.

I do spend some time watching how things "flow" in these RP social events. There are times where things are just slow. Everyone stands around waiting for something to happen. At these times you need to put on your GM hat a little and do some provoking (IC or OOC).

Putting out the "vibe"...

I've noticed when I walk into a situation and start acting very formal, people often follow suit. Example: The 2nd time I walked into Nocturnus I had half the town out of character. I turned the pirates into gentlemen. The same thing can happen if you were to start acting sly or criminal.

RP'ers tend to feed off the mood. The mood can be set with just a few choice words. This is an art. (I wish I was better at it myself)

saturdays definitely. try wakin up at 4 am monday morning after hours of rp in a casino. i missed the first grand opening of it and dont want to miss more. sorry ekade but saturdays was my vote. so BOOM. there goes my vote

One other thing I need to say in favor of Sundays...

Saturdays are often big event days (RL and in game). Weddings, hunts, PVP, cantina openings, etc.

Casino night was such an AWESOME experience that I really don't want to ever miss it.

Well, no matter what the outcome of this poll is, I guess the cantina opening in Zeal next Saturday has decided that casino night will be held on Sundays in place of S&V night every other week. I'm not one to compete with other people's RP.

I would have loved saturday, just because i can't attend on sundays.
Hard to be there when it starts at around 2am-3am in my time zone and i need to get to work at 7:30am

Europe, i'm from germany 8-)
+6 to EST, so i'm limited to fridays and saturdays to attend any events which take place during US-primetimes.
Guess i should move to the states, just like my boss will most probably do next year. Or start to take a look at what happens during my prime time

could we not possibly alternate saturday nights? Just a thought

Unfortunately, Artie and I will be missing the Sunday night Casino Nights for the most part. Sunday's the day when we hook up with friends at the local cantina and get loaded while watching the pod races *COUGH COUGH* football *COUGH COUGH*. If the two of them do show up drunk as hell, you'll know why.

Wow.. it looks like Saturdays are winning this poll. We ran a similar poll amongst the organizers/workers of the casino and Sunday won by a huge margin. I don't think football season was taken into consideration at that time.

Saturdays are bad for me due to RL social stuff (what little I have left.. kids have a way of depleting that.. then their social agendas eclipse my own *sigh*).

I guess we'll just do out best to accomodate as many as possible as often as possible.
