That Lucas pulled these prequels out of his ass, and he's NEVER had any idea of what the Clone Wars were, or what was going to happen in them. He's been making all of this up as he goes along post original trilogy, and the original trilogy is paying the price for it.

This, my friends, is the most accurate description of Lucas' work that I have ever seen. In fact, I would argue that just a much rectal extrapolation occured between Episode IV and V as occured between the original trilogy and prequels.

This is evidenced by the clumsy way in which continuity was handled throught all these movies.

I know the books aren't cannon, but one of the books that first discussed the volcano duel between Obi-Wan and Anakin mentioned that Anakin's intense anger and burning hatred, need for revenge, etc. is what kept him alive after he fell/was thrown in. They said it was Anakin's full embrace of the dark side that kept him alive, and didn't mention anything about Palpatine's help.

I haven't read many of the books, but i know that theorie too.
But we all know that Lucas doesn't care much about anything written in any of the SW books.

What continuity problems and "ledger de derriere" (sleight-of-ass) was there between Episode 4 and Episode 5? There is one that I know of (that I've been saving for SW General Gab for a while. Hell, I'll post it later tonight).

I recognize the original vs. prequel ones, but were there other ones between Eps 4 - 5? What did I miss?
