Wait, they call him Wald now? You know in the original transcript that was supposed to be Baby Greedo, right?
No, I had no idea he was supposed to be cast as Baby Greedo; I'd only ever known him as Wald. Nevertheless, he kicks major ass.

Actually, I've seen a deleted scene from EPI where Anakin calls him Greedo and proceeds to pummel the crap out of him after baby Greedo teases him about racing in the Boonta race. Personally, I'd be really annoyed if he remained Greedo in the final film...that'd just be lame.

I've seen a deleted scene where Darth Maul calls him SD Zannon after SDZ sells him information about Amidala's presence in Mos Espa.
Thus, we now know how Maul found them so easily.

In passing. I was a hobbyist and in high school at the time, so I wasn't able to afford a second monitor and usually I was oblivious to who was on until I switched over and checked it or logged on myself.

Out of the movies, mine would be General Crix Madeen he was the guy that gave the brieffing on the first Death Star. He use to be a Royal Gaurdsmen (the Emporer's personal guards and the elite of the elite soldiers) and defected to the rebellion. After ROJ he became the head of the New Republics covert ops and died taking out a Hutts version of the Death Star, called Dark Saber, singlehanded.

Uhhh...I think you have your rebels mixed up...General Dodonna gave the briefing on the 1st Death Star Attack and General Madine gave the briefing on the 2nd Death Star attack.
I can't believe I just corrected someone...I'm such a Star Wars nerd.

I guess since I don't really have a favorite non-main character, I'd have to say that my favorite guy is the one who says:
"I'd say there's about twenty guns, some on the surface, some on the towers."
Thanks for that very specific tactical update, there, honcho.

My favorites are the two guys that haul away Captain Needa's choked out corpse from Vader's feet in The Empire Strikes Back.
The reasons are a bit complex, but it stems from that character's original Kenner action figure being the object of one of the first slaps of
unecessary Political Correctness wayy back in the '70's.
These guys were first labeled
Death Squad Commanders and then the name switched to
Star Destroyer Commanders.
I just remember as a kid going out of my way to call them by their original names, because it was nastier and I imagined the Empire having elite death squads roaming the galaxy with these guys in charge saying "Atomize them!"
And they had slick uniforms, especially the helmets.
Lookie!

Before the internet was commonly used, Bulletin Board Systems were popular among geekdom. A BBS worked a lot like these forums. You would dial up with your modem, the computer on the other end would answer and you could participate in the forums. Of course most had ONE phone line, so if someone else was using the BBS, you had to wait.
The name you are known by was called your handle, a word taken from radio geeks.
OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I repeat..
OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am not alone in the universe. Meet Talon Karrde, SysOp of the Imperial Nation BBS (815), 1992-1998. Long live the old school.
tk
er.. uh, Jabe
BBS? Commadore 64? How OLD are you people?
I vaguely remember the C64 from playing numbers crunchers and wheel of forture on 5 1/2 floppy disks in elemetary school.
