SWG Tales

Well I have played almost every roleplaying game out there, well many of them at least. So far I have liked,

1)FF8
2)FFX
3)Kingdom hearts
4)FF7
5)Kotor 1 and 2

Mantis clan here all the way. You damn Scorpions and your sneaky evil ways always drove me nuts. That was the only card game I ever went all-out on and love every minute of it.

Man, L5R was my game long before there was a Mantis Clan. I used to play my Crab Dishonor deck (it was the best suited clan for Scorpion Use) to counter the FOTM-Y Crane Dueling decks. Believe it or not, it was actually HARDER to play that deck with the Scorpion Clan than the Crab.

I think I got into L5R more than any other game because it actually had a story attached to it. No other game really had that. The story progressed hand and hand with the game. I also liked their ad campaign of "Zero Banned Cards."

When WotC bought them out, I stopped playing. How'd the story end up ending? Did the Mantis Clan Champion (can't remember his name after all these years) become Emperor?

I also started before the Mantis, and the Crab Clan and Phoenix Clans were my decks of choice. Though the Scorpion and Dragon clan characters had the most interesting stories.

I fell out of the L5R loop long ago but a few friends still came back up with it. I believe the Yoritomo, the Mantis Champion, did come back but I'm not sure if he became Emperor. I do know they added a very cool "ship fighting" system to the game based on Yoritomo's fleet which I'd like to try.
