Do you know if thats the one the SoD folks went to? They told me before but I forgot. I wouldn't mind hopping on there and saying hi to them.Seret Sajet wrote:Sure, ignore the Agrammar folks!
WoW is gonna damage ya monthly the same as SWG, but you do get one month free.
If its the RP server you want Argent Dawn is your place. If its just PvE mayhem in your blood stop by the Agrammar server with yer ole pals Seret (Malfandango - Troll Rogue), Gaaralow (Meatbomb - Orc Warrior), Tensonic/Jotun (Undead Warlock) and Dwilah (Tauren Shaman).
I still really want to find the time to make a character on Argent Dawn. I just really need to decide what race and class I really want to RP as.

I've played Zo and Aerulai's PvP server where SoD was supposed to be. I never saw any of them online aside form Zo and Aerulai. The server name started with a "G" and ended in "sh" I think.E-bo Obi wrote:Do you know if thats the one the SoD folks went to? They told me before but I forgot. Overall I enjoy the feel of the RP server versus PvP or PvE. I would not say the roleplay is outstanding.. but there is a much lower percentage of "d00dz" than on the non-RP servers. Plus people seem more helpful and mature in general.
The sooner you roll a toon on Argent Dawn, the happier you will be.
Seret, you might want to go with undead or tauren so you are not rehashing as many of the same quests you did as a troll. Undead may give you the freshest atmosphere as you start on a totally different continent as well. Personally, the art and the creepy music give me the chills. Helps me get into character.

Yeah, I have a human mage on their server. Their server seems kinda low-pop, which means less lag on primetime.. but also less people to interact with.E-bo Obi wrote:Sounds right. Lai's been complaining about them never being on.

Ah well... I cancelled my preorder. I started taking a dance course and with Isleh 'quitting the business', I wont have time to play WoW and be a studant in the Teras Kasi.

Hey I was clear about what server I was on since I started, Purple Dead Lady!
Actually if I start a new character on a different server I will most likely start a new race and class just for the sake of something different. I'm leaning toward Tauren Druid or Hunter.

You should have gone to the server Keer was on so we would not have this multi-server wackiness and have a slim hope of actually getting to play a game together (GASP!!!).Seret Sajet wrote:Hey I was clear about what server I was on since I started, Purple Dead Lady!

I am getting ever more hooked on Argent Dawn. These things happen when you get to know people. What's funny is the sense of comraderie you feel with your "classmates". And by that I mean the people you saw when you were running around clueless in your race's n00b area for levels 1-6.

Ok one more time for the crowd. I joined the server that the friends of mine who convinced me to try WoW with them were on. I wasn't about to buy the game they so diligently wanted me to play and then say "Ok I got it but screw you guys I'm going over here." Don't go making me a hater, purple people eater (that nickname now fits better since you canalbalize people).Ekade wrote:You should have gone to the server Keer was on so we would not have this multi-server wackiness and have a slim hope of actually getting to play a game together (GASP!!!).Seret Sajet wrote:Hey I was clear about what server I was on since I started, Purple Dead Lady!

Oh man, you have a succubus now, nice job! I always knew you were cut out to be a successful warlock."

The "classmates" comment reminded me of something pretty cool that happened in WoW. I was walking into Sepulcher when a I saw an undead warlock with the name Raystyln. If any of you have ever read the Dragonlance books you'd know the name. It reminded me of an old friend of mine who used that name for everything from game characters to IM to license plates. I hadn't spoke to him in years and I thought, just for a second, that maybe that was hiim. Sure enough it actually WAS him. Very cool indeed.

I know.. I am badgering you intentionally.
Just come to Argent Dawn so I will shut up.
I have big dreams over there and I need more loyal minons to help make my grand vision a reality. The sooner you do this, the happier you will be. All games eventually need to capture your imagination before they become dull. Do you think that will happen on a PvE server? What happens when you have done everything? You need an RP server like Argent Dawn.

Must...fight...urge to...buy World of Warcraft.
Urk.
I am considering it. I really liked Warcarft II and III. Plus, the idea of being an axe throwing troll that says "Who ju wanna kill?" gets more appealing every day?
Argent Dawn you say?

Listen.. I am the biggest SWG crack addict there is.
WoW is a different game. It is not a replacement for SWG. But it is something you owe it to yourself to play.
You will:
1) Have fun
2) Realize a greater appreciation for what SWG does well
3) Find your gaming sessions for each game that much more enjoyable
4) Join me as we eradicate the hateful servants of the "alliance". We will burn their villages, tear down their fortresses, and feast on their flesh. *cackles maniacally*
5) (optional) If you choose troll you can annoy everyone with your jar jar binks accent.

For anyone considering playing WoW or RP'ing on Argent Dawn...
For my part, I haven't beaten anyone over the head to pick up the game or, if they have already, to join up on the server I play on. And I'm not going to start doing that now. I've been real about it with everyone from the get go.
Only things I can say are the same things I was saying since, ohhh, August. Sharing my Beta experiences. Back when the game, its testers, players, even anyone who supported it was being dogged and cheap shot at in a large part by those who never even played the game, weird enough.
Personally, I've been called it all. From not a "true" Star Wars fan, to a "loon", and even being lumped in with elite powergame dOOdz "that would be the only types of folks that would play WoW in the first place" (Yeah right. See how true that came to be).
And this from some of the same people now spouting like raving cheerleaders of the game and it's RP potential as if they invented it. Ohhh, the hilarity. How's your new Turbo Bandwagon driving?
I can't say that everybody will like the game or like the RP within it. Anyone who guarantees that would be wacky. Only thing I can say for sure is it's worth a shot. Which is what I've been saying. Bottom line. The one indisputable fact about WoW is that it was a game that had lots of time taken to do it well. Outside of that, it's gonna be personal preference.
Take your time in coming if you're going to come. Relax with it. Don't let anyone rush you. Especially if you're coming to RP. It helps when you're not rushed.

I am obviously not. My personality type is "promoter" and I think in terms of bringing everyone along to participate in the good times. I want to share this with them.
Yeah, that would be me again. You can say it.Only things I can say are the same things I was saying since, ohhh, August. Sharing my Beta experiences. I honestly felt threatened by WoW. I saw it as something that would take away what I enjoy most, people and friends. Were some of my comments unfair? Yes. I did not say anything with the intention of dogging/cheap shotting/upsetting you.
I sincerely apologize for my remarks, they were out of line. You are on my list of favorite people and it goes bother me greatly that I upset you. Please accept my apologies and I will truly make an effort to avoid such behaviors in the future by thinking my comments through a little more.
The bandwagon is driving quite well. *presses turbo button, raves like a cheerleader, invents RP*And this from some of the same people now spouting like raving cheerleaders of the game and it's RP potential as if they invented it. Ohhh, the hilarity. How's your new Turbo Bandwagon driving?
My "spouting" is just they way I am. Our posts are reflections of us. You obviously put more time and thought into yours than I do mine. Mine tend to reflect what I am feeling at the moment.
Back then my persective on things was that WoW was not good news for me. Now I am enjoying it greatly. I changed my mind. You can call that whatever you like.
I am wacky. Such is Ekade.I can't say that everybody will like the game or like the RP within it. Anyone who guarantees that would be wacky. Only thing I can say for sure is it's worth a shot. An yes, it is personal preference. I have been trying to talk about the game from the persepctive of an SWG/RP fanatic so that people will have information to make a decision for themselves. If my enthusiasm colors this information.. well, that is something I cannot help. I do think I provide some factual information that can be of value.
You lost me! That is far too calm and logical!!Take your time in coming if you're going to come. Relax with it. Don't let anyone rush you. Especially if you're coming to RP. It helps when you're not rushed.
