You're no master. When I say "Who's the master?" you say "Tramel'nuff."

They always say that the villain makes the movie. :)

Yep.

Ever notice the lack of true Imperials in the game? I don't mean people who pulled the 200 Imp Faction and went to an Imperial recruiter, but actual Imperials.

Yes I have. That is why I am such a big fan of the Colonel. :)

If I were ever posessed to make a new char in this server.. it would be a villain all the way. They are harder to play.. but also make things so much cooler for all involved.

Actually, I think playing a villan is erasier. No rules to live by, no predefined codes of honor and justice. I guess that is what helps make it...evil.

That's the thing. I don't play that kind of villian.

It would be remarkably easier to play a "yes I kill kittens and I think it's funny when babies are crying" evil villian. The problem is, most people aren't like that. The Empire probably never believed they were evil (and I don't believe they are evil either) and I'm sure they did some very diplomatic and good things (like helping the Nohgri in the Thrawn series). They were the antagonist without being "evil."

They had different ideals, but there are ideals that are strictly believed and aheared to. Because the Empire is both political and military in nature, there are MORE rules than in the rebel alliance, and the same would go for honor and justice. Not only that, but there is a profound amount of protocol.

That, to me, is one of the best parts about playing the Colonel. He can show compassion for people. He can help those in need. He can share a joke in the appropriate company. He's like most everyone else you meet. There is something a little different about him, though. His back is a little straigher when his stands. His voice is a little clearer. His tone is a little more commanding. His weapons training is a little more precise. He is every man, but at the same time, he is distinctly Imperial.

Sounds like more of an anti-hero then a villan to me.

You're right, it would be more of an anti-hero. I think of it as the antagonist, though.

Even though it's a) a cartoon and b) a religious cartoon, ever seen The Prince of Egypt? Ramses was the antagonist of the movie, but he was never truly the villian. He was a good guy, but he never wanted to seem weak to his father because of what his father meant to him. He is the best example of antagonist without being a villian that I can think of.

That was one of the things I kept in mind when forming the Colonel's character.

Yea, the whole rules, honor, and compasion thing makes RPing a pain but interesting sometimes. You've no idea how many times i just want to go randomly kill something. BUt, that's what my new char in D&D is for. hehehehehe. God I love being evil.
