So? I am not sure I follow.

It was my understanding that the city was being managed. At one point we were going to take over those duties, but were then told that it would be taken care of.

I think Fisce reacted without reading the thread.

Anyway. I know most of the people in DF from the days I pvp'd and they aren't bad people, however I think this could have been handled better. If they weren't going to let you have any say, fine. But at least tell you what is going on where you live. Surprise is good in RP but not for something so big as a complete change of the cities management.

You already know you are welcome in Ruby Lake, Tovaar. Wherever you decide to move, I hope it is somewhere you can settle down and not have to worry about moving again. Not having to worry about Imperial intervention would be a plus as well I am sure. ;)

Tov already knows where she's got an open door. ;) Movin' that house will be hell, though.

Honestly I don't think anyone should move yet. I think it will be interesting to see what happens.

I happen to agree with E-bo, I mean how many city counsils were really informed before the Empire took over their cities? Probably none. So this just seems like a great immersion and IC story for everyone as has been pointed out. I just think this is going to turn out really well.

Well, I've got one house left to move... but I've got to switch between my two mains to get it done since it involves moving a vendor. Anyway, to any of the Zeal refugees... if you want help moving... you know how to get ahold of me. Immersion aside... I'm forced to agree with Ekade in that this take over was rather crooked in that the major players of former Zeal were told absolutely nothing... I tend to not like players that play 'that' way myself. *bows head* So long Zeal... hello out of town living again.

Well, just as a general invitation, any of the former Zeal folks are welcome to move into Nocturnus, as long as you don't mind back water, pirate infested living.

You forgot to mention the smell. I swear someone left a dead Gurk or something lying in town somewhere it's awful. :)

Yeah.. like Tramel said, this is a potential RP gold mine.

When I stepped off the shuttle.. the whole center of town looked different. I saw people with the <DF> tag buzzing about. I almost thought I heard the Imperial March playing in the background. Arriving in town was CREEEEPY. I was greeted immediately by a member of the ISB who already knew my name. The place I called home was no longer the same. The tranquility of Zeal was replaced by.. Empire.

The Empire is what makes Star Wars cool.. After talking to Griggs last night, it sounds like they want to capture some of that. He wants to make Mos Tera a real imperial city.

His people, and to a large degree Gorath in general, want to get more into RP. They want to explore it, some have had a taste and want more.

You want to hear something funny? Tovaar and I were having a conversation about Roleplayers and PvP'ers last night. She was thinking that PvP is the opposite of RP. I told her I thought otherwise.. the people who still play and PvP really want more, they crave RP. Well I guess there was some PvP'ers over at her house and some RP broke out.. she sends me a tell to the effect of, "omg, you were right!".

A game is just a game. In and of itself, nothing but numbers. Roleplay is what makes a game something more. It makes it a STORY!!

And this.. taken from my thread on the SOE boards:
Jibberish wrote:It really was cool last night.... when a bothan dressed in common clothes, coincidentally with the name "Unnamed Both'an", walked (not default run) up to us...... speaking in bothan speach... said something of the lines as "Humans are new to this place, yes?", first asking if I spoke Bothanese..

I look forward to seeing more of that type of thing.
Even the little things have them drooling. :D
