I really don't think it's the contrary opinions as much as the antagonistic way that said opinions are filtered to the public.

I did my Wow time, and I came back to SWG. If you'd like to compare notes or reasons why I came back, I'd be glad to list them. The main reason being I decided I was fooling myself into thinking any MMO is better than the next. It's the community that mattered, and that's what brought me back.

Content shmontent. I'm having fun, and that's all that matters.

Now I don't complain "ALL the time" either. But don't confuse giving credt where credit is due to giving the same amount of discredit where it's due. Fair? And don't jump on folks for doing it either.

Personally I am tired of hearing about it. You've certainly managed to bring the feel of the SOE forums to this board.

We all know how you feel. The horse you're beating on is so dead, the flies have already left. You often write some of the most insightful posts here, on the same token your level of negativity is not something generally shared by many others here.

That was a little too bitter for my taste, Keer. We get it, you hate this game for ignoring the problem with your profession and so many others. You proved you discontent by quitting. I mean why would you play a game you hate? Power to you and I'm happy WoW filled in the gap for you.

But we are still here. We're still playing, we're still having fun and don't try to tell us we should hate this new expansion because its not a problem fix. If they want to give us something new then I welcome it. If its an expansion I have to pay for then I will pay for if I deem it worth the cash. If its at something to game then I say bring it on.

But this bitterness has gone on long enough. What are you waiting for? A letter of apology from Lucasarts and SOE for not making you happy enough to stay? Nobody is saying they are problems that need to be fixed and are long overdue but do we really, truely understand what they are doing about it? Do we really think they are sitting around in some break room all day laughing at the smugglers?

I'm sorry if I'm a little heated but the sarcasm just wasn't appreciated at the moment.

Whoa, just saw this. Seret we've seen eye-to-eye on alot of things and I respect you and what you have to say, but once again I'll refer to my latest post.

I'm not telling anyone that they should feel exactly I do. I'm just saying how I feel and it looks like I'm being told how I should feel as well. Once again, equal time? If that's cramming it down anyone's throat, then there's cramming on both sides and it's not started by me.

On several occasions I have said that you and everyone else from Smuggler to Squad Leader are justified in their disappointment with the game. No one here will tell you not to complain about the problems you have with no profession revamps and bug fixes. We all deal with that and accept it is a bane on this game.

But it seems every time they bring out a sizeable patch or in this case an expansion you bring out the big guns and shoot them down for doing anything BUT fixing the issues that concern you. We're talking about two different things here. What they are not doing and what they are doing are not in the same boat. How do we know a corporation doesn't slap down what the devs want to do and make them do something else? How do we know the profession revamps are sandbagged by countless issues they can't get around and they cannot afford to get hung up on them rather that impliment something that does work. What do we really know about the development of the game. In truth, nothing.

So while you think we're pissing on your complaints what I see is you pissing on everything that makes this game still playable for us. When it comes to topics about new content and fixes you do play the role of the complainer. The way you post you make it sound like we should all quit and protest every little thing they throw our way because they aren't fixing the issues YOU want fixed.

I'm behind your plea for profession fixes but since I'm still paying a monthly fee I'm going to enjoy the new features they throw into the game. I'm not going to tell you they're doing a great job but I will still enjoy this game regardless.

And the little "Look up forum in the dictionary" remark was a blatent flame. Any more of that crap and we'll end this discussion and lock this thread.

Well, all I have to say is this:

1) Pistoleer is probably one of the most f'ed up professions in the game. We have 4 specials that work like theres supposed to.

2) After having masterd half the Smuggler tree...I know that their is ALOT of work that needs to be done to that profession as well, but atleast their shit works! I love being a pistoleer, broke ass or not. I use the smuggler pistol shots because their better then damn near every pistoleer shot minus Fan Shot.

I really dont see why the smuggler revamp so take presidence over anyone elses revamp. I'd friggin love to dual-wield my pistols and carry em in holsters like we've been promised we were getting for so long. Same thing with TKA and the Razor Knucklers that we were also supposed to be getting. The ONLY love so far has been given to Jedi and BH's as far as any type of revamp of their skills.

You dont however hear me painting the wall with it other then this moment. Boke profs doesnt mean broke fun...atleast to me.

One thing I have learned from playing other MMOGs too is that rarely is there an expansion or update released that pleases me. In CoH I think they've manged to do one that I was actually looking forward to. I know the last one and the one that they have coming up I think are totally crap. *shrugs*

So yeah, while this may not sound like the best expansion to me, and yeah, while there is still a TON of other things they could be fixing, it isn't that bad in the end. Goodness knows there are worse games out there *cough* Everquest 2 *cough*.

What's messed up with BH? I have a character that is one and it all seems to work and is useful. Granted, hunting Jedi is a little quirky, but other than that, it seems to be better than most of the professions....and fire knockdown is the shizz.

Ok, firstly we have NO defense. And I don't know but I never thought FD was that great. And LLC is too random and close ranged to be effective for BH's. The only thing useful is really the pistols skills. But that's just my take. I wish it needed Unarmed from Brawler instead of Exploration. Would fit more with the profession I think.

Well the llc cannt hit a thing and originally we were supose to be the master of status changing but that got nerfed and dabblers are rampant and are better at hunting Jedi than a MBH. I know this cause I am a master and I see people who are 3-0-0-0 BH with a variety of other professins take down Jedi I would never dream of trying to take on. Those are our biggest issues in my mind, but I agree that other professions need a fix more than us right now.

By the way Seret, Kirt take big deep breaths guys sit back away from the comp for a minute and take into consideration that the other means no ill intent to the other. The two of you are cool guys and we all need to say to ourselves from time to time that this is all on line. This doesn't really matter in the big piture. So ask yourselves do you want to let this degrade a freindship you've made. ?

Kirt has a point that the devs should fix what they've started before they start some thing new. I'm not going to lay a flawed foundation and begin to build a house before I fix that flaw.

Seret has a point that, although it is anoying not to get what is in game fixed, we shouldn't imediatly jump on those we deal with because there maybee some one over his or her sholder telling him or her to ignore this or change that. Is it the sales persons fault that you cann't get refunds for product you desided you dont like? No, its some guy in a office in some corporate building thats never set foot in the store fault.

Again keep things inperspective take a moment away the comp if your mad, cool down a bit and remember to ask your selves is this worth my energy.

Dont get me wrong, I fully believe that Smuggler and Squad leader realyl need a fix...Squadleader..only needs things added not really changed. The reason no one is a squad leader is cause their are no squads for them to lead. Smuggler has been so borked since launch it aint funny, Bounty hunter well you may think everything works but the only thing thye fixed was allowing more dabbling from melee, and fixing droids thats it! We have asked countless times to remove LLC and have gadgets instead since the LLC is useless, if not that then give us somthing else to use instead since LLC is so lame even at master I can easily be taken down by a nuna ((not really)). Smuggler's need somthing to smuggle and squad leaders need squads, I remember back near launch having a SL with us and I would be kd and dizzy and the SL would say somthing and BAM I was on my feet and my states removed.
It all boils down to one thing..This is an MMORPG not a FPS, if buffs had never been added we wouldnt have what we do now end of story, buffs for your ham is a bad idea. for your skills on the other hand is a great Idea. if you remove buffs you remove ppl soloing half the game. If you give smugglers a job and somthing to move around, maybe a new skill that allows them a chance to not be detected by the police((and everyone else looking for it)) I would say thats good, the whole crackdown was a crack alright. All I know is unless your an IMP, if you see a ST you should be runing away and trying to find a better way in cause he should scan you..UNLESS he is scanning somone else.
As far as what professions have been getting more fixes then any other..thats easy. Jedi have stolen every possible chance of any proesion getting a major revamp as soon as they should have been. Why cause they are more important or atleast the devs think so. There were two Major updates for them alone and a half ass update for BH's.Chefs got a revamp, and so did "some" other professions but the ones that needed it are told they are working on it, yet we see them bust their ass to give the jedi enclaves, and a ranking system.. I say FUCK jedi and tell them no give them permadeath and say "hey if you dont want to lose him. dont play him go to your regular toon" Jedi were suppose to be rare yet I see more jedi then I see MBH.


Yes I hate all jedi in this game ALL OF THEM..just not on a personal level.
